;33010783]Yes, but I didnt ask for opinions about the rights and wrongs of letting a 6 yr old play on a PSP but some people seem to think its their right to to give them.
I think the after school staff should control these other children that insist on playing with your sons PSP, they might just break it and at 6 years old they should know better anyway than want to play with a shiny exciting toy belonging to someone else.
I doesnt matter that its causing a problem and your son ends up crying its the principle isnt it, you want your son to impress his peers, no shame in that.

.......Only joking :rotfl:buy him a book.

how about a compromise
give him a book or something for the club and promise him a new game a month(?) or whatever suits you
for leaving it at home?

Your boys learnt a valuable lesson there though. You have to play by the rules, even if you don't agree with them. It may be petty and stupid, but at the end of the day, it's up to the after school club to decide what does or doesn't go on there.

They certainly did!! Especially as those bloomin' cards cost me a fortune :rotfl:.... I'm sure one of them still has them too.

Op - what happens if the psp does get lost or broken?? Who are you going to expect to pay for it??

• This thread has got so funny I'm sitting here laughing at how high and mighty some of the poster on here are !!!!

I've had insults, name calling, and all sorts. Last poster has even decided to dig up one of my old threads.

Are you lot that insecure that you have to prove that you're better than anyone else?

Bet your all English !!!! LOL :-)

Having read the other thread thank for link Lydia - no wonder the club said no to the PSP. It would have been more approrpiate if they had told the parent rather than the 6 year old though.

Maybe they just happen to be more responsible and dont think the world revolves around them?

Pot-kettle I think

Probably letting other posters know that you are clearly someone who doesnt learn lessons and that you think rules do not apply to you, also why the rules may have been put into place.
Are you lot that insecure that you have to prove that you're better than anyone else?
I dont think anyones trying to prove their better than anyone else, I think you just have a complex.

Bet your all English !!!! LOL :-)
No idea but it makes a difference because?

Subscibes to thread; got a quiet night at work tonight and need some entertainment.

My three year old will not be getting any games console until much older. Nothing more sad than seeing 6 to 10 year olds at family get togethers all sitting alone playing games, rather than running around together like they used to. She also won't be getting a mobile, or a computer or telly in her room at least until a teenager (and maybe later). She can tell me I ruined her childhood when she is an adult.
Been away for a while.

Im english I know the difference between your and you're but that doesnt mean I use it. Sometimes people dont think about punctuation etc etc when making a post on a public forum, it's not like writing an official letter ;)
