I've had insults, name calling, and all sorts. Last poster has even decided to dig up one of my old threads.
Are you lot that insecure that you have to prove that you're better than anyone else?

If the school has said no PSPs in school surely that means no bringing them to school not no playing PSPs

Omg since when has this turned into me posting a thread about how I type? I find it really sad that you have nothing better to do than go looking for punctuation, spelling mistakes blah blah blah.

My posts are perfectly legible, just because I dont type like my life is depending upon it doesnt make it non english. Quick call the police I dont have any right to an opinion as I dont have a command to the perfect english language. Pathetic sorry.

Why would anyone want their 6 year old to be sitting in a corner all by himself playing a psp.
Computer games are fun but they are not their as a baby sitter.
I would have been more concerned that an afterschool club has been letting this happen.
Let him join in with the other activities with all the other kids and when he has a spare 10 mins or so on his own in the house then he can play it .
Seems like it is used more as a baby sitting tool

Cos when you're shoved in afterschool clubs all afternoon and other clubs all school holidays you need to buy every gadget going to compensate for loss of family time.

    Grumpy today :D

Charming - more than one troll on this thread I think.

I use an afterschool club and sometimes a holiday club for my children (I would love to be able to meet them at the school gate but my finances dictate otherwise at the moment)
My son asked for a Nintendo DS for his 7th birthday so he has one.
He has never taken it to afterschool club and as far as I'm aware they are not allowed to take electronic games consoles (or any other expensive toy for that matter)
Holiday club is run by the same company and they are allowed to take handheld consoles but there are 2 specific times of the day when they are allowed to play with them - other than these times they need to be handed in to an adult.

For my son (perhaps due to the games he and his friends play) - the sitting in a corner on your own doesn't seem to ring true..
They 'connect' and trade Pokemon and cheats to get through the levels - it doesn't appear to be an isolated activity - similar to with his Pokemon cards.
I don't see any harm in him playing like this for an hour each day in the hols and it has improved his reading skills no end because there is a lot of reading involved in the type of games he is playing and he wants to read what he has to do next.

To the OP I would say just simply to explain the reasons he can't take his PSP anymore - it seems that his afterschool club and the school are taking the sensible approach and I think you should adopt the same.
