THEY didn't put the prices up, they sold the voucher
I've had many deals in the past, subway, cinema which have been fine
If you have a business agreement then you have to realise that each others actions will reflect on both parties.
In future perhaps MyCityDeals will vet their B2B agreements better and put guarantees in place to stop the behaviour that we have seen from Sunglasses-shop and Dermalogica.0 -

Fair enough, Just keep in mind Sunglasses-Shop have increased the prices, not Mycitydeal0 -
My code didnt work earlier. Theyve reset it and ive ordered my glasses (which sounds like they were one of the few that havent gone up in price). Theyve taken the payment but no order confirmation yet (jotted order number down earlier though). All very dodgy.minorthreat_ wrote: »Serves you all right for spending such ridiculous amounts of money on sunglasses. Ha!

How long was it between the offer going live and the first people noticing the price increase?
I have answered my own question!
So apparently they received 10,000 orders within minutes of the offer going live, and within that same few minutes also managed to contact their suppliers to order additional stock, and update the website. Wowzers, that is some fast work! :rotfl:My email to them, I also copied in a couple of moneysavingexpert email addresses.
Hi,
I bought this voucher from mycitydeal yesterday, after reviewing the sunglasses shop website and evaluating the deal. I decided that it was worthwhile, based on the Ray Ban Aviators that I wanted costing £88. At 10am this morning, as soon as the voucher became active the prices on the sunglasses shop website increased, to £94 for these particular Aviators.
This is completely unacceptable and extremely underhand.
If you hope that anyone who bought a voucher is ever going to use mycitydeal or sunglasses shop again after tactics like this then you've got a problem. I'll also remind you that most people who know of this, and other deals find out through the moneysavingexpert, and I'm sure they will not support your companies with approaches like this.
I have copied all parties in for interest.
Please contact me asap to resolve.

And you keep in mind that the extra profit is being redistributed back to MyCityDeal.0 -

I put my voucher code in at about 9.55, it said to wait til 10am until the voucher is active.
At 10am I went to select the glasses I wanted and noticed the prices changing in front of my eyes.
Therefore, it seems extremely unlikely that the price rises were triggered by the stock system as suggested.0 -
