Hi - I am emailing on behalf of Sunglasses Shop. The promotion has wiped out our stock. We were predicting 1000 orders and we ended up with 10,000. The suppliers have put their prices up so the cost of re-ordering is more for us.

However, we will honour any customer prices - please email support@sunglassesshop.com

We are going through the emails in order and will get back ASAP but please know we are an independent company with a very small team. 10,000 orders is a big challenge to us.

We will try and adjust any prices now to what they were, but please email if we miss anything.

Thank you.

Hmm - funny that the suppliers put their prices up just as the voucher "discount" cuts in isn't it?

It must be a coincidence - one of them things eh? :T

I've also been very annoyed to find out the Ray-bans I wanted have gone up £9 (from £111 to £120). That would make a total of £70 + £4 postage + £17.50 Mycitydeals = £92.50. I can buy the same glasses from another, more honest, dealer for £90 and am tempted to do just that unless they sort this out quickly.

Worth noting that mycitydeals SAY they'll give you a refund within 7 days, assuming you haven't used the voucher. Here's the info from their website (I assume when they say "write" that an email will suffice - if they mean an actual paper letter then they really are cowboys):

Completion of transaction and your right to cancel:
The contract to buy is complete but you may cancel the transaction by writing to us within 7 working days of Voucher receipt (prior to any redemption of the Voucher being made).

If anyone is looking to find out the pre- increase price i have just found out if you google the product and look for the sunglass shop in the results you will find a blue link that says cashed. That will take you to googles cached pages which is like a snapshot from a couple days ago before the price went up.

hope this helps.

I know i'll be sending them a nice little email as the oakleys i wanted have gone up £5.50 also. grrr
• another thing worth bearing in mind is that they have a 'price match garuantee' so if you wanted the wayfarer 2132 for example you could get them on other sites for 74.95 - not 95.40 as on the site at the moment. Obviously they wont let you use a voucher with a price match, but if you work out what it would cost

with voucher: £95.40 + £17.50 + £4 delivery - £50 = £66.90.
without voucher (using price match): £74.95 (free delivery)

a MASSIVE saving of £8.05

not quite as good as it looked eh!

I'm waiting for a reply from them, but think i might just get a refund as i only wanted the sunglasses because they were going to be way cheaper than normal.

I noticed the prices have gone up too, was gonna order the Ray Ban aviator at £88 (now £94!!!), so I ordered a pair of cheaper Oakley instead, which was £54 yesterday - mow £58.50. I placed the order as I thought the website may even put the prices higher when they have more orders in the next few days/ week.

If somebody has email them & they'd honored yesterday's prices, think I'd do that too. I was gonna buy the Ray ban, you can get a pair for £60 on ebay. With their new prices I'd be paying £65.50 with the postage. The Oakley ones are my second choice - and i don't even know I'll like them when they come....

The sunglasses shop is out of order.

Does anyone know how to contact Mycitydeals on their page? Can't seem to find any contact info.

I have decided that I want a refund and I will be making sure to tell people to avoid both these shonky companies.

What they have done is completely underhand and I hope that they lose a lot of customers because of this.
