Bollox......
Here hear. I just want my £17.50 back and will NEVER use any of these shysters again.
Not had many bad online shopping experiences and if anything has gone wrong they have been dealt with swiftly by a dedicated CS team.
Heard no response to my email to The Sunglasses shop and got an automated response from Mycitydeals.
As stated - Bollox!0 -
Strange how the prices went up overnight! And completely across the board, too. My voucher didn't work, so I had to contact their support people, I also mentioned the price hike, but although the voucher code was reset, the price was not even commented on. After spending £17.50 for the voucher yesterday and then £91 plus £4 postage I have saved a massive £5 by not buying the same shades from elsewhere for a widely advertised £67 inc delivery. Is it worth the hassle? I wouldn't have bothered if I'd known the prices were going up. First & last time for me. I don't care what they say the reasons are, I don't believe them. Their online prices are not competitive without these vouchers & they've just tried to cash in.0

I have to agree (though maybe I would not use that word!), and wouldn't it be a coincidence if Want the Look also had this problem with their suppliers increasing their prices!
What concerns me more is that the MSE Team seem to be backing the retailer on this. It really does feel like a scam ...
MSE published the event.
I wonder what their cut was?Not Again0 -
Timmy 2000s posts who apparently works for the sunglasses shop, are not now visible.
I think someone mentioned that his earlier posts he was purporting to be a customer of theirs.
The whole thing smells worse than Katie Prices jock strap!
Very fishy0 -

The link given by MSE is an affiliated link, so you are correct that they will receive an income from referrals.
I understand why affiliate links are used, but I do think this one needs to be reviewed.Gone ... or have I?0 -
how come the mycitydeal website says they only sold 83 and sunglasses shop say 10,000?
doesnt make sense?
here is the deal again: link=http:// www. mycitydeal.co.uk /deals/aberdeen) (you'll have to copy/paste the link cos im a new user and not allowed to post links)

Please wait. An operator will be with you shortly.
One moment please...

Hello Sophie Turner. My name is Alice how can I help you?

Hi
Alice says:
Hi
Sophie Turner says:
I have vouchers from mycitydeal for me and my boyfriend
Alice says:
Yeah..
Sophie Turner says:
i just tried to use my boyfriends and it didn't put it on during checkout so I closed the window to try again and now it's saying the voucher has been used
Alice says:
Ok, so you need to e-mail support@sunglassesshop.com
Sophie Turner says:
Also, the glasses I chose have gone up in price?!
Alice says:
They will be able to help you. Regarding the price, our manufacturers have put the prices up, forcing us to put ours up. It is very unfortunate that this has happened round the same time that the vouchers were released.
Sophie Turner says:
Surely thats a scam??
Sophie Turner says:
I saw something on the moneysavingexpert website (where I heard about the vouchers) saying you were going to change the prices back ad honour the original prices. Is that true?
Alice says:
We are aware how that makes us look. What you can do is to go through with your order and then e-mail mycityrefund@sunglassesshop.com and we will honour the original price.
Sophie Turner says:
ok thanks
I'm still hopeful!0 -
We've now got someone who pretty obviously works for Want the Look on the Dermalogica thread!
