One moment please...
Helena says:
Hello DEBBY. My name is Helena how can I help you?
DEBBY says:
I am one of the people who bought mycitydeal voucher. Today a representative said you were going to reverse the prices back to yesterdays price. When will this happen please
DEBBY says:
A representative of your shop told the MSE forum they will be honouring yesterdays prices. So far I cannot see an change to your website.
DEBBY says:
Are you still there?
Helena obviously does not want to respond! Seriously, it took minutes to update the prices on their website and during the course of today I cannot see any products have reversed back to yesterday's prices. This is a scam and as MSE promoted it I think they should take some responsibility.0 -

What have you had from Subway and the cinema? 2 for 1 - you can get that anyway at the cinema on Wednesday. Upgrade to a foot long, free drink, packet of crisps?
Subway and cinema vouchers are not really good examples of Mycitydeal being a good, honest company. Do you work for them?
I swear if you disagree with certain people on here you apparently work for the said company :rotfl:
Nope, the Subway was a free Sub and the cinema deal worked fine for me?0 -
just got this ......................
Dear.......,
Thank you for your recent order using the mycitydeal promotional voucher.

If you need to contact us please email us on support@sunglassesshop.com. Please do not phone as mycitydeal orders are processed by a separate team who will be trying to fulfil orders as swiftly as possible.
When your order is shipped you will receive our standard email with our standard terms and conditions, some of these will not be relevant to your order but the important information, your order number and tracking number, will be included.
Orders will be shipped via UPS unless otherwise stated and will require a signature on delivery. This is an all day delivery service. If there are three failed delivery attempts then the goods will be returned to us and we will have to re-charge shipping. You will be notified if this happens. If you experience any problems with your delivery then please contact UPS on 08457 877877 with your tracking number, which will be received via email when your order is shipped.
If you would like to exchange your purchase then please follow the returns instructions on the website under the help and returns banner at the top right-hand side of every page. You will be re-charged for postage on exchange items.
Finally, many thanks for your custom. This is our first time with a national promotion of this type and we are thrilled with the uptake. If you would like to give us any feedback then please email feedback@sunglassesshop.com. All feedback is welcome, good or bad!
We hope you enjoy your purchase.

Dear MyCityDeal participants,
Firstly, many thanks for your participation in this promotion.
However, please accept our apologies that there was some confusion around the changes to our usual excellent, market-leading customer service, which includes next day free delivery in the UK.
The reason for this was that this promotion with MyCityDeal was designed to be a small scale test to check the financial viability of the Sunglasses Shop doing a wider promotion in the future, as the viability for us of working with MyCityDeal depends upon how customers behave in redeeming the vouchers, for example, do they buy a £50 product with their voucher or do they use the voucher to upgrade their usual budget?
To ensure that the Sunglasses Shop did not lose money in running this test promotion we had to change our usual T&Cs and charge for delivery for products bought with these vouchers, lengthen the delivery time to 7 days, as well as raise the prices of certain brands of sunglasses (but only to levels still below the RRP).
As the promotion offered through MyCityDeal was clearly very attractive we received a much larger response than we had anticipated, we have had problems in providing our usual levels of customer service, for which we take responsibility and apologise to you.
The Sunglasses Shop team is now working extremely hard to fulfil your orders, which you can be assured that we will do.
If you are not happy to pay the advertised price of £4 for delivery then please call My City Deal on 0800 007 5719 and ask for your voucher to be cancelled.
We thank you for your custom and hope you love wearing your new designer sunglasses this summer.
Yours sincerely,
Daniel Puddick

Looks like www.wantthelook.com (www.wantthelook.co.uk) are also giving a BS response (thanks to plattaj for this information) ...Looks like Wantthelook are not going to reduce their prices back to what they were - see here a message from the CEO which I copied from lipglossing.com
Dear All,
Good Afternoon All,
I would like to take this opportunity to apologise for any in-convenience / misleading queries that have arisen from the MyCityDeal promotion. It is our first promotion with MyCityDeal and the fine print should have been made clearer by MyCityDeal when purchasing the voucher, which seems to have been the case.
We have newly launched the Dermalogica dedicated website due to their imposing T&C’s of only allowing their brand on a singular website and basket checkout.
Post the transition time to get this site live (live last Friday) we then became aware that Dermalogica had a price increase of approx 10% across its catalogue, where we had loaded the pricing based on our previous prices on our sister site which we had not reflected in our calculations for this deal.
This I can see has reflected badly in this promotion timing, and yes we take customer satisfaction very seriously which is why I am taking this opportunity to respond personally.
We again apologise for any inconvenience and feeling of mis-leading sales tactic, of which this was not one.
Regards
Oliver
CEO Want The LookI think I'm going to go back to MyCityDeal and ask for their refund which they say they give within 7 days of the transaction.Shame I won't be getting cheap Dermalogica but hey ho!Gone ... or have I?0 -

That is crap!!!! You get people to buy vouchers and THEN raise prices. I hope you get all the negative publicity you deserve
Will Mycitydeal refund the £17.500 -
Hi everyone,
Thanks for all the feedback on this thread, it's been really valuable during our many conversations with MCD and Sunglasses-Shop today.
While we appreciate the frustration at what happened with the prices earlier on (and believe me, the shock on this thread was echoed in MoneySaving Towers), the team here and the teams at MyCityDeals/Sunglasses Shop have worked very hard today to get resolution to this without customers losing it, which I now think we have.
As Deborah's post above says, if the price shown on your order is the higher one, then email support@sunglassesshop.com and tell them, so they can adjust the price you pay.
Even though the promotion hasn't gone as smoothly as I am sure SunglassesShop would have liked, we want to reassure everyone here that this isn't a scam. We have been and will continue to follow this to make sure everyone is dealt with fairly.
As discussed, MSE did use an affiliated link for this deal, as was explained clearly on the page (and an alternative, unaffiliated link provided). However, as is also explained in a link from every page on the site (http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/funding), no deal or product is ever included in the email or in articles because of a commercial arrangement - EVERYTHING is judged on its own merits as whether or not it is an appealing deal for customers.
Please let us know if any other problems develop with this deal (or that everything is sorted!).
Cheers
Dan
