Found a cached page but google is telling me it is from 1720 today. Does that mean they have updated it or is there a way of getting yesterdays page

I was looking at the Oakley fives (not square) in either brown sugar or polished black

They are now 58.50 and 67.50 respectively. I think they were £51 and £58 ish but not to sure

they were £51 yesterday as i looked at the rounded ones but decided for the half jacket instead

the link below is from the google shopping pages which have the cached price of mine from yesterday compared to what they are now.

I think this company are taking some serious liberties. First they tell us we wont get the 'next day' delivery, which was advertised and paid for in good faith (and usually free on this site). Then they up the prices. Yet i ordered at 08:30 this morning and the prices had already gone up, but i did not notice until later as i was in a rush. Got this email from about an hour ago...
As a result of the huge popularity of the Sunglasses Shop deal, stocks of popular ranges have been severely depleted. This has led to unforeseen increased costs stemming from Sunglasses Shop’s various suppliers, which in turn have resulted in automated price rises on the website itself.
Automated price rises... yeah, whatever.

It's gone from a really good deal to a good one and i am still pleased to be getting my Polarised Oakley Fives Squared at a good price, which i planned to buy anyway, but i don't expect to see them any time soon. I probably wont be using this retailer again or recommending them really.

At the end of the day, i with delivery (which i know we were told about) and the price hike, plus the fact that retailer was not the cheapest to begin with, mean the saving is not that amazing. I think would have spent the money i saved and been sure of next day delivery.

I just hope they can get these glasses out ASAP, mud sticks on the interwebs

Do you mean the brown ones were £51 (the fives not the five square). Wish I had taken a note of prices( but why would I you dont expect price hikes after vouchers sold) as i am leaning towards the polished black....or my money back
• I got one of these vouchers yesterday too, and i've been on sunglasses shop this morning and seen the price hike, what a nightmare! It all looked a bit disheartening... anyway I got that email from mycitydeal and I guess i'm gonna sit on it. I figure if the prices are gonna go back down i'll just wait until they do and then use the discount. It says it lasts for a month and i'm not on holiday until after that so its cool, feel bad for the people who want to order now though.

I spose bottom line is that if Dan from MSE is saying everything will be cool then it can't be a scam...still its well annoying.

i'll keep looking on sunglasses shop and if I see the prices coming down i'll post it on here, and if I get anything else from mycitydeal i'll post that too.

im sure the black ones were (the ones i was looking at) other colours may have been slightly higher. I only remember the price as i spent some time deliberating what ones to get.

I'm sorry but this whole debacle is a MASSIVE SCAM!! Emailed the sunglasses shop to enquire about the price rise - which hadn't happened at 7 AM this morning.
Got so annoyed with the contempt they have treated us with sent Mycitydeal an email saying I wanted a refund.

Got an automated response. Phoned them and spoke to someone who gave me conflicting answers.

MSE DAN has posted a message from Sunglasses shop regarding refunds from Mycitydeal.

Just got this email from Mycitydeal

"Dear MyCityDealer,
As a result of the huge popularity of the Sunglasses Shop deal, stocks of popular ranges have been severely depleted. This has led to unforeseen increased costs stemming from Sunglasses Shop’s various suppliers, which in turn have resulted in automated price rises on the website itself. Sunglasses Shop are aware of this problem and are working to fix the prices back to their original level on the site. In addition, if you contact them at support@sunglassesshop.com, they have promised to honour the original prices of the products in question.
Also, there have been some problems regarding validation codes, please follow the process below before making your purchase:

1. Go to http://www.sunglasses-shop.co.uk/ to browse the sunglasses on offer.
2. Once you are ready to make your purchase, go to http://www.sunglasses-shop.co.uk/mycitydeal/ and enter your voucher code. Please note that once your code is entered, it will instantly be invalidated – so be sure to know what you want.
3. Select your purchase and checkout.
If you have already had a problem regarding the validity of your code, Sunglasses Shop will be able to issue you with a new voucher code. You need to send an email to support@sunglassesshop.com who will deal with the issue.
Please note that, as stated in the deal’s fine print, there is a £4 delivery fee.
MyCityDeal and Sunglasses Shop both wish to apologise for these problems, and for the difficulties in accessing the website yesterday. We are all working very hard to ensure a swift resolution.
If you have any questions, please contact us on 0800 007 5719 or support@mycitydeal.co.uk.
Many thanks,
MyCityDeal "

Seems like the buck is being passed to and fro. I just want my £17.50 back and want nothing to do with either of you conning companies ever again.

Quite simple isn't it? Jokers!!

They may substitute for a different pair.....As if you want a pair that you havent ordered!!!!
If a sale frame sells out then we will offer an alternative product as reduced to clear products will not be re-ordered, again you will be notified as soon as possible.

From their email, I am reading it as they'll let you choose another product if the one you've chosen before sold out? I dont think they'll force the substitute on you? I am just wondering whether MyCityDeal will extend their cooling period for this particular deal if things turn south?

I've email MyCityDeal asking for a refund this afternoon but they've yet to reply me.

I removed 2 spaces and copied the entire post but wouldt dsiplay anything

Its ok I got the image to load but it only gives the prices "from" need to get in to the selections to find individual prices as all colours had different prices
