• Here I am in Portugal having paid in full to Suncar at least one month ago. When arriving at Faro airport i was told by Air Auto that Suncar had not paid them for months so if I wanted the car I had to pay them. It was 11.30pm ... no alternative but ton pay. I am now trying to claim back my money from Suncar .... but to no avail. bDO NOT BOOK ANY CAR HIRE WITH SUNCAR!!! BE WARNED11111111

Just a reminder SUNCAR IS ALSO DECODE CAR HIRE. Avoid both.
• Also , be aware that they operate under :

rubbe.com

You only need to see the reviews at reviewcentre.com, 45 bad reviews all of the same nature.

To see that they are a scam company. They have also been using google adwords all over the summer so I guess they have made a few million out of this little scam..
• I booked with Suncar and paid via paypal but then had to cancel due to collapse of Goldtrail. After numerous calls for a refund (where they answered once) and emails and use of their 24/7 online help (where it says there are no available operators!!), I emailed complaints@suncar.co.uk instead and threatened to report them for fraud and to watchdog. I then emailed that if I do not receive my money in a week's time, I will be taking legal action. I then received my money in my paypal account the next day! This might be worth a try
• Seems I'm in the same boat as everyone else stung by these cowboys. I have been on at them all day today. Informed my bank to do something about it as well.

I'm in the process of sending off all details to F.O.S to see if they can help.

I did a little search and it appears they have to address listed. Companies house has them at the below
DECODE CAR HIRE LIMITED
12 YORK GATE
LONDON
UNITED KINGDOM
NW1 4QS
Company No. 06862514

Where as the Cowboys website says the below

St Clements House,
27-28 Clements Lane,
London
EC4N 7AE

I work near this address so I'll be popping by after work and see what's going on

PS. Anyone else having issues with refunds, keep us posted on the out come and if you have contacted anyone else to assist. The more people who group together to take these cowboys down the better;)
• Just done another search and it appears that they have another address as well!!

Registrant's address:
Office 404, 324/326 Regent Street
London
W1B 3HH
United Kingdom

Also SunCar.co.uk was registered by this chap

Registrant:
Jeffrey K.Achenbach

Maybe Jeffrey K.Achenbach is real. I shall be surfing the internet highway for him and possible location/details to find out if he is
• I too have been scammed..... Pursuing through our credit car company, which peeves me as these gap in the bushes are getting away with this..... just found them on facebook, they only have two comments about their thieving tactics so far, it'll be three soon!!!!

Do not deal with rubbe.com either, total total scammers!!!!!!!!!
• I had the same problem. I arrived in Cyprus and had to pay again. I emailed Suncar and asked for a refund. My email was forwarded to complaints. After a week of no update I called, they didn't answer. I managed to speak to "Peter" on their instant messenger service and have been promised a refund "within 10 working days". Has anyone else had similar promises? Has anyone else actually achieved a refund?
• We booked a car from suncar only to find there was no car for us when we got to Alicante airport. 4 adults and 6 kids!!!!!!!
After lots of e-mails to the so-called complaints department we are still waiting for our refund. We did try to phone but they don't answer.
BE WARNED!!!!! DO NOT USE SUNCAR

Its ironic how if i walk out of a supermarket without paying for an item, the police are called and i can be arrested and charged a fine........
But then a company can take everyones money and not honour the contract therefore stealing ones money, and nothing happens.. Trading standards are pretty useless as someone said a few posts up, too many rules protect scam companies, and trading standards arrn't here to protect the public (in the public eye), i know this all too well....
Gutted for all those people that lost out money wise on this, i for one wont ever use this company, sure hope rest of the UK read this post before booking with this company.
