The O.P should list times and dates when he was stopped, how long he was detained for, and what searches were made, and then send a copy to the Chief Constable asking if he considers this an effective use of his officers time.

I think I will be listing all the dates and times etc, I cant do it for the first 2 times as we cant remember the dates, but deffinately for today and the one 3 weeks ago, and no doubt for any more times to come as I can see it going on.

Maybe he should keep his butchers knives in the boot rather on the front seat??????????????????//

    Sorry I am kidding.

During the summer I am out and about pre dawn, ie , 3 or 4 am, fishing/ off shooting. Not unusual to get pulled over several times in a 50 mile journey. Almost allways in town/city.

If he has done nothing wrong, then he has nothing to fear. But , yes auto programmed coppers can be a pain in the aris
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed

    Lol

You wouldn't believe all the jokes he gets like that.

3 weeks ago he had accidentely chopped a bit of his thumb off at work and it wouldn't stop bleeding, so he came home with it bandaged up and where did the police pull him over, over the road from the hospital. Apparently they had a right laugh about it. The policeman said so your not a very good butcher then!

If your Hubbie feels the police who have pulled him are a bit off in their attitude, get him to ask "Is this a stop then?". If so the police need to give him paperwork to that affect and fill in a few forms. Surprising how many say it isnt a stop at that point and allow you on your way.

I would enquire at the station whether the vehicle has a section 59 marker against it, at worst it is letting the police know your concerns at the regular stops, hopefully the desk seargent will have a word with the ground troops.

Yeah, he is, go for the jugular:j:j:j

Seriously, it is sad that Joe Public, aka, law abiding citizen, gets embroiled in the mess that is the criminal fraternity.

Patronising, could be, but only from one side of the line.

Tell him to buy a Honda Accord, no self respecting copper will want the the hassle that Saga can bring into play. ;)
