DH getting pulled by police! A lot?

I look alot younger than what I am. I've never been pulled over yet, but I did have a police car follow me all the way from my street, across town and all the way round an industrial estate once. I was looking for a certain unit which I hadn't been to before so was driving up one cul de sack, turning around and coming out again trying to find it and seeing the same police car go by again. Wasn't until I finally pulled up somewhere that they left.0

Firstly those on duty at that time will have less emergencies etc to deal with and hence be able to do more routine policing such as traffic stops.
Secondly 430am is a bad time for drunk drivers and other criminals such as burglars and car thiefs etc and they will be more likely to check this and ensure that he is legitimately out and about at this time afterall most people dont drive around the streets etc at that time of morning and if they do they should be able to tell why pretty quickly.
Hes not only been pulled on a morning though, there have been twice on an afternoon too.0 -

I'm not trying to start an argument here, but surely wearing a hood up whilst driving is a terrible idea? This is my signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine.0 -

When she huffed and puffed her way out of the car (she has chronic lung disease and is registered disabled) and explained she had been up early to drop her OH off at the Chemo ward of our local hospital and she had just thrown on the hoody because it was cold she was let on her way. Not before they admitted she had only been stopped because of her hoody!!
OP, who did you buy your current car from? Is it possible it could have a marker against it for drugs etc?
For us its baseball caps, they are a no no for DH, he used to wear a baseball cap when we were just nipping out and he couldnt be bothered gelling his hair and he used to get some really mucky looks from the police and we would be followed frequently. He now doesn't bother wearing the cap as its just not worth the hassle.
I think if it were a case they stop him, he explains hes going to work (has his work clothes on) and they said fair enough and sent him on his way, it wouldn't be too bad, but they dont, they go through everything, license, insurance, even if he has his documents they still call it up, search his car (on the mornings), not only this but the reasons they use, its early what you doing, you look young, or even no reason at all, its just a routine check.
I afraid to say I have no faith in the police anymore, due to more reasons than just this.0 -

Her hoodies must be different to mine then. If I had my hood up there's no way I'd be able to look over my shoulder properly without having to take the hoodie down. It would also stop my periphral vision as the hoodie would be blocking the side of my face. This is my signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine.0 -

Im afraid I have to agree with gaz on this one, when I have my hoody on (I dont drive), if I turn my head to the side the hoody doesn't always turn with me and I end up with half my face covered. Not ideal when your driving.0 -
The O.P should list times and dates when he was stopped, how long he was detained for, and what searches were made, and then send a copy to the Chief Constable asking if he considers this an effective use of his officers time.0
