At the moment I use a stiff bristle broom between vac days to keep the dog hair down a bit,but it casts a lot of dust and hair into the air so I thought this might be a bit gentler and easier too
I've got one. I wouldn't say it was fantastic for carpet but we have laminate in the room where the dog mainly lives and I find it good for sweeping up the dog hair in there. The hair sort of sticks to the broom so it's better than a normal broom which makes the hair float about IMO. So I would say it depends on the flooring.:)Do more of what makes you happy:)0 -

that's what I thought it would do especially if I gave carpet a light spray with water too to dampen first then it would cling more.In my younger days I would have just used dampened rubber gloves and got down on my hands and knees as it works great but I'm having chest problems so looking for an easier solution.I think I will get one
thanks everyone for your help0 -
Just had an idea  ,
my curtains hang with a gap on the outside edge , (where they hang against the wall ) . So I may attach some velcro patches to make them pinned against the wall , so they keep draughs out.

I don`t use fabric conditioner and have to dry all washing inside, including thick towels. It all dries in reasonable time and never any musty smell
I used to have musty smelling towels til OH pointed out that he didn't think I was leaving them to dry for long enoughI have one of those rails across the kitchen ceiling and was always moving them too soon so that they didn't smell of food
BTW, does anyone know of anywhere that's doing offers on energy saving lightbulbs, especially candle and soft tone ones? I have 5 to replace around the house, not that they're used much, I can't stretch to £3.99 a pop at the mo because I've recently lost my job.0 -
Tesco don't have candle or soft tone on their website, but the "normal" ones are half price until towards the end of the month -- making them 68p each. Must stock up myself, as I think we've used the last spare we had.Cheryl0

I put ALL the veg into the cottage pie last night, as opposed to steaming it & serving seperately
Tasted ok tho

we've done this to our bedroom window this year, the frames are wood so we stapled some velcro bits to the outside of the frame, then I sewed the corresponding bits to the fleece we've put up at the window so they fit together tightly, keeps out the little chinks of light that sneak in through the sides and light the whole room at the crack of dawn too :T0
