BMW Drivers...

Time for a few BMW driver cliches - I've think I've sussed out why you're all so bad tempered, drive too fast and don't indicate.....Ok, so recently I drove from Bristol to Exeter in one of these BMW 1 series coupes.

Looks nice, drives well, but dear God! The most uncomfortable car in the world. Ever. Now I'm not a fat lad, I'm no wider than most, but I had real trouble squeezing between the seat bolsters - after 30 seconds it was like being continuously crushed in the kidneys, after an hour on the M5 I was crippled. Through my tears of agony, I gave up on the most basic of road coutesy in a desperate desire to simply arrive at my destination and get out of the damn car.

Plus, the footwell is far too small for my proper man sized feet and the indicator stalk only gives you a one second flash when you nudge it. If you want continuous indication you have to whack it like the karate kid - which is too painful to do, so you clearly don't bother. I know I didn't.

So, BMW drivers, clearly you're in a foul mood as your lumbar region and internal organs are being slowly ground to paste, hence you're driving faster to get where you're going before your legs turn blue and die. You're also in a bad mood because you must have tiny girly lady feet (fine if you're a lady ;)) in order to work the clutch properly without stamping on the brake at the same time.

Mystery solved :rotfl:

A bit of mild and harmless entertainment poking gentle fun at the cliche of the BMW driver.

I know that must have been hard to grasp but I'm glad we've worked through this issue together and emerged better people.

... just wanted to add that you can change the indicator settings to different lengths of indicating and you can also adjust the seat bolsters as well... Just being helpful incase you didn't already know :o)

    I had a BMW a long time ago. A 1981 320 like this.

Easily the most unreliable car I ever owned.

I wouldn't have one now because I don't like the image they portray.

When myself and SWMBO were looking at a new motor we tried one of those and a Mini. Bought the Mini because of the exact reasons in OP. I'm 42 and I nearly crippled myself driving it so I agree.......
