I suspect that the moderator deleted the posts by the UW distributor touting for business and it is simply quicker to delete his/her initial post and all subsequent posts by all users.(it is apparently much easier for them to do it that way)
It wasn't just your posts deleted, myself and others have had post deleted.
But the new poster wasn't touting for business (I didn't get that impression anyway) They seemed helpful, declared their interest and even said that the gas and electric wasn't that great! Clearly somebody reported them, I have no idea why though, some of the information they posted about the phone package was useful to me.:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

The phone/mobile package obviously doesn't come within the remit of the 'UW is expensive' mantra (especially, I suspect, once certain anti UW types compared it with what they are currently paying!!), hence it being reported and removed. Quite sad, really.0 -

But I thought this was a moneysaving web-site?! The UW phone bundle could save me money, and I'm sure it could for others to! Doesn't make any sense why they would just delete posts if 1 person reported it? I couldn't see any rules being broken - its a bit of a joke really!:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

Maybe more than one person reported it? Like I said, it just doesn't fit in with certain posters mantras....it's a very attractive package that probably many people could benefit from. Do you really think these 'certain' posters would be happy for loads of people signing up to UW, though? Nothing to do with money saving with them where UW is concerned, more an ego thing/obsession. They clearly can't find a cheaper alternative (I'm suspecting many of them are probably paying much more than they have to on their own phone/mobile/BB/calls packages also so would prefer to limit discussion of UWs) Like I said, quite sad, really.0 -

The UW rep was asking people to contact him/her, which I suspect was the reason - and I didn't report them.
Personally I find it it far better to have a UW rep who isn't worried about revealing his interest.
That is surely far better than someone with multiple identities always posting pro-UW information, yet on every opportunity slamming all other Utility companies; all of whom have far cheaper gas and electricity tariffs than UW.
He has the gall to call other posters 'sad' - which is unbelievable coming from the most disingenuous poster on this Board.0 -

That wasn't the impression I got, I seemed to remember they said contact them if you had any questions! What is wrong with that? Isn't that the purpose of this thread? I wanted to know if there was a min term for the phone bundle and it was answered, isn't that what this web-site is for? Or can questions only be answered by none UW distributors? I actually found this new poster to be helpful and honest!
Maybe you didn't report them, it doesn't take a genius to work out who probaly did though! I still think its very petty and to delete posts that you, I and others made for no reason isn't very fair.:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

In the spirit of saving money I think I must say what my experience of looking at UW pricing is.
Over the period of 1 year, UW would cost me over £150 more than my current suppliers rates (OVO). This is based on gas and electricity usage with my current annual consumption.
Phone and broadband wise. Still expensive. You need to have 4 services from UW to get their anytime call package. Also they list as charging £1.50 per month for Caller Display and 1571 service. Therefore all in all for unlimited calls, unlimited broadband and these 2 services you are looking at paying £28 per month. Compare this to Sky. As a Sky customer I get all of this for £23.75 a month!
Now, lets have a UW rep go over these prices and tell me how I would save with them over a bit of good money saving shopping around.
Just for the record, all of these prices are based on UW website prices as of today.0 -
If you want someone to do a serious comparison for you then as a minimum you need to provide your annual consumption figures in Kwh, and your postcode.
Sky is not an entirely fair comparison as you (up until very recently) have to be a Sky TV subscriber before you can have any internet and call package products. That gum you like is coming back in style.0
