Quentin cant delete posts he isnt a board guide he can only report posts as spam or to abuse
Oh and yes I do report spam doesn't matter who it isuptomyeyeballs wrote: »And Quentin, who deleted those two posts if it wasn't a moderator? (or guide as they are called here).0 -
The forum is not moderated, have a look at the forum rules, here is the relevant extract.
There are thousands of posts made on the forum every day, it would be impossible for someone to read them all. Also, if we were to read and approve every post we would be legally responsible for the information in those posts.
We want to protect our users as much as we can, therefore we have a 'report an abuse' system (see How do I report an abusive post? ). Only after going through this process are posts legally deemed as being published by the site. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
uptomyeyeballs wrote: »Yes, I know Quentin didn't do it, but he says this board is unmoderated, which is obviously and blatantly not true. There again, if I said 'White', he'd say 'Black'.
Semantics here:
http://www.wisegeek.com/what-is-a-moderated-forum.htmA moderated forum refers to an online forum for discussion in which all posts are pre-approved by a moderator before being posted for the group. Some people prefer a moderated forum to an unmoderated forum, as the moderator can not only keep out spam, but posts that are inappropriate, rude or offensive, or that wander off topic.
The Internet has always been known for its unmoderated, uncensored landscape. No one “owns” the Internet, and no policing service is responsible for controlling it. Instead it is built foremostly on voluntary cooperation both at the network level, and at the level of social interaction. To this end most social forums on the Internet have a set of rules or protocols members are requested to follow.

A moderated forum, according to vBulletin, the developer of the forum software we use, requires that a moderator review and approve each new post or thread before it becomes visible.
Your posts in this Recursos/Resources sub-forum may not become visible for a day or more after you submit them.
I don't suppose you intend apologising to Quentin?
You might not like his style but he is usually correct; and of course in respect of 'style' you have similarities!0 -

I am an independent distributor with Utility Warehouse and the views I express may not be shared by the company. The mind of the bigot is like the pupil of the eye; the more light you pour upon it, the more it will contract.

The management ask that we state our affiliation every day(ish) or page(ish) depending on number of posts put into the thread. Or, as an infrequent poster, every post.
Where do they say that then Nige ?
The OP clearly says
All Telecom Plus Distributors must declare it when they post
Nothing about depending on number of posts.0 -

In this thread??
Never!
There's also lots of misinformation, an example being your post last night that got thoroughly (& embarrassingly easily) dismantled.0
