Be careful Meeper. According to some here you can't be a happy customer as well as an ID. You must have an ulterior motive you say something like that. :rotfl:
And if you are just a happy customer, them you must have a screw loose. :rotfl:0 -
The more I read this thread the more I'm glad I rejected an offer to join UW. I don't fancy joining a company where the distributors are arrogant and pay an extra £400 on what I pay now for the pleasure!0

Reading through this thread has been trying and almost depressing, but I had to see what people were saying about UW. Some people really need to look at themselves and think "why am I constantly posting angry messages about a company I have nothing to with".
'Anger' - the only anger really comes from UW salesmen who don't have free licence to post misleading rubbish about UW.
The reason why all 'UW centric' posts must be on the one thread is that UW salesmen costantly attempted to spam this site as they do all over the web.
Without any opposition on MSE UW salesmen would create an impression that UW prices were reasonable - instead of just about the most expensive in UK.
Those of us in the self styled 'anti-UW faction' are more than happy to discuss figures and facts and prove UW's extremely high prices.
Most attempts to discuss prices by any opposition are met with hysterical outbursts; usually by the rather pathetic Keggs - read his last hundred posts to see what I mean.
If you declare that UW's gas and electricity prices have always been competitive in the last 18 months, then you are quite simply wrong. Any independant observer will tell you that their prices have consistently been just about the highest in UK.
Even WHICH(a publication that UW likes to quote on the strength of a distorted readers survey) declares that UW are 20% more expensive.
So if you will be selling gas and electricity to your friends and family, why not give some facts and figures about UW prices being competitive.
A starting point would be the average consumption in UK is 20,500kWh gas and 3,300kWh electricity.0 -

Yet another post that is nothing to do with UW prices!!0 -

How do you mean "competitive"?
Their energy prices are very expensive and have been throughout the last 18 months!0 -

Sad, so sad.
I know UW prices - I know them very well; apparently you don't if you maintain they are 'competitive'.
They are just about the most expensive in UK for the majority of customers.
I agree that might be sad from your point of view as a UW salesman.
So why not discuss UW prices against other energy suppliers.0 -

This is really pathetic.
Why should I explain myself to you when the tariffs charged by UW are clearly visible and easily found on their website not buried deep within the website like most other companies. Also, they have one tariff which makes it easily understood not multiple tariffs which can confuse.
I hear that the "big 6" are running scared from huge fines for ripping us all off. The fines are for huge profits and mis-selling.
I am sure that QUENTIN being the upstanding citizen that you are will be the first to start a thread to highlight the disgusting way the British public have been treated.0 -

Don't UW have 3 tariffs for gas and 3 tariffs for electricity?
Energy tariffs for the Midlands region.

These prices exclude VAT.
There are also different prices for those not paying by Direct Debit and different prices for Pre-Pay customers.
If the Big 6 are worried about big fines, why would that exclude UW as they charge far more than the Big 6 and make a big play about their very high profits making them one of the most successful companies on the Stock Market.0
