Usage for the electric as above was 1691 kwh. gas for that month 5798 kwh - wouldn't mind if the heating was on all the time etc etc - don't have an annual statement (only been in this house since June 12)

Then tell us your total kWh consumption on each fuel since you moved in, to date. You've been through a full winter quarter, so it'll give us an idea.
Your electricity bill is also correct based on those readings.
You have been barking up the wrong tree. It's not your tariff rates that are at issue, it''s your insanely high consumption. Are these kWh figures actuals or estimates? Have you verified them against the meters? If so, something is very wrong, as you've used (for example), nearly half a year's average UK electricity (3,400kWh pa) in one month! How is the property heated and hot watered?
We've ruled out incorrect metric/imperial billing, Metering faults would normally be suspected next, but the chance of you having two faulty meters is very small indeed.

Are you providing meter reads rather than the difference between two readings?

Can anyone tell me if there are other companies out there that run along similar lines to Utility Warehouse?
I have been with them a couple of years now,the idea I found to be great but recently , well infact always their customer service has notbeen that good when calling about one thing or another.
I will post this in the phones forum too as I have all the services .

What do you mean by similar? In what way? All services on one bill? Gas, electric, phone, broadband and mobile? One DD? Monthly billing? Cash back card? Depends which of these is more important I guess.

PS Have you tried contacting the distributor who signed you up? Ultimately it is up to them to keep the customer happy.

UW are the only company in EUROPE to offer all the services in one bill.

I've never had any problems with their CS. I suppose it's because UW have grown so rapidly in the past few years that they've had trouble keeping up. A familiar problem. I understand they're moving to a new build with triple the capacity, so hopefully things will pick up across the board. But as I said, I've never had any problems with UW's customer service.

Any distributors on here? I may be looking to start up but wondering how much work it involves to get going and the training involved.

I gave it up as I was too lazy, although for a number of years the work I did put in at the start was still giving me a few quid a month.

Minimum realistically is seven hours a week. Should be done at an hour a day rather than 7 hours on a Saturday. After a couple of years one should earn enough to give up the day job, if the effort has been put in. I know people who are now quite well off from UW and one or two who are actually wealthy. 80% or more don't work at it (obviously including me) and lose out.

Trainings used to be a bit RahRahUpSchool but always had a nugget or two of good information. Worth attending in order to meet successful people and pick their brains.

    Hope this helps your decision.
