And you need to check your facts before hitting the keyboard: the monthly rate is £15.45.

Macman---I pay linesaver my self, which is why I know that BT do not charge £15 per month.

Give me strength. Just to make things simple for you, I'll repeat my original reply with some helpful bold added:
"BT line rental is now £15.45, TT £15.40, the other major providers about the same, unless you take Line Rental Saver or the equivalent'
PS: a glance at the UW website FAQ's will show you that their line rental charge is £14.90pm-not £15.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
**Macman** chill !
Do you know of any discounts that utility warehouse have to make their line rental appeal to normal sane people?
I have asked them but they do not reply0 -

No they dont offer line rental saver, but then again BT dont offer inclusive 24/7 calls which they do subject to t&c.
Heres the very long dedicated thread.

I note that you avoided answering the question then...
Line rental around the £15.40 mark is now the de facto standard, as both I and others have pointed out to you several times. Cut a retention deal with UW if you want to pay less.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Finally!
It would be nice if UW offered an annual payment up front deal but I suppose it goes against their no min term ethos. AFAICT they are one of the few companies (P.O Home Phone are another and are cheaper at the moment but their 12 month price promise ends in October) that offer a no min. term commitment on their phone line as standard.
As for BB I don't know of another provider who offers no min term commitment as standard btw. Other companies who offer short term contracts insist on either a higher monthly figure and/or a connection fee. It's horses for courses I guess.0 -
***macman*** No right minded sane person pays £15 for a basic phone line rental and frequents this forum-There are companies who would charge about half that0

I would REALLY like to hear about Fone rental of £7/ month. That gum you like is coming back in style.0

Primus cut their line rental prices a few days ago but as your no doubt aware they come with a terrible customer service warning.:D
