You seemed to suggest this was your bill but how could this be if your tenant only left the day before? If what you have stated is indeed true and chronological, my suspicion is UW never got told of the tenancy in the first place.
Yes, UW had my tenant as an occupier/customer, because they told me when she supplied her last reading before she vacated. I dont know why they sent out this bill, but they did because my mum picked it up and phoned me about it. This wasn't my bill obviously, but I was trying to be diligent and referred to it when I called them and explained the property was vacant (I also didnt want my next tenant facing over inflated estimated bills) That seemed to have been their cue to start to send me ridiculous estimated bills.0 -
98% of users are satisfied with UW.
Martin Lewis @MartinSLewis 6m Amusingly its seems Utility Warehouse's network marketers've been flooding our Energy poll. We're not so easily fooled http://!!!!!!!/cxEni9That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
Now down to 96%.
I believe UW have less than 1% of the market. Yet in this poll UW have attracted 300 votes. The largest firm by far - British Gas - have the next highest number of votes - 147.
UW make a big deal of the fact they consistently come top of the WHICH readers satisfaction poll, and any other poll that requires reader participation. Annoyingly UW state/imply 'WHICH say we are the best company'
For years many of us have been saying that any poll like this that requires reader participation is useless as there are 10,000 plus UW reps(and their families) all with a vested interest in voting for UW.
Thank goodness MSE are not as gullible as WHICH.0 -

For the benefit of newcomers the 'independent financial adviser' is also a UW salesperson.
We have been saying the same thing to him among many other UW salesmen who distort readers surveys.
My financial adviser would never advise me to go to a more expensive company like UW!
But then maybe Meeper knows something he doesn't :rotfl:0 -
I wonder if Carmine used all of his user names?0

I have been very disheartened with UW as a distributor, and the poll results show part of the reason why I dislike them and the way they operate as a business. It is VERY cult like. People changing their middle names on facebook to "UW", becoming total bores about it, not allowing any negative discussions in the forum etc, fining you when inactive and insisting you get a certain amount of customers before paying you a percentage of what they spend - it's pretty much slave labour unless you immerse your entire life and bore your friends rigid. I've seen some almighty panic's and shouts of "Next"! "Some people can't see the wood for the trees" etc if people won't sign up, and ridiculous "Show them how the money works" comments. Like anyone with another company is clearly an idiot. It's actually not nice. This week -encouraging we flood the survey and vote was the last straw. The latest thing by UW leaders is to insist that Martin is paid by the other companies a backhander, so because UW won't pay him that's why he doesn't like us. It would be nice for Martin to state that isn't the case. It's all very odd, and it leaves a sour taste in my mouth. It's just a job, and a badly paid one at that - yet you'd think you were sat in a room full of preachers.
I have to admit I really like the product, and i do save regularly with the cashback card so my bills are undoubtably cheaper, and i intend to stay as a customer, but after this i think it's my time to leave as a distributor.0 -
It's not for everyone. But there is no fine for inactivity. Everything else I can't argue with. Just a bunch of people trying to change their lives and the lives of others. I'm not evangelistic about it all, but I defy anyone to tell me that the distributors that I have personally met don't have other people's interests at heart and aren't trying to make a difference.
