    Hi Blunty

I'm sorry that certain individuals are rude to you. And it must be said that it isn't either satisfied customers of UW or distributors.

Whatever the faults or shortcomings or reservations people have about the company there is no excuse for that kind of behaviour, particularly towards someone new.

There are a handful of people here for whatever reason (known only to themselves) that have some perverse attitude to the Utility Warehouse. But the fact remains it works for some, it doesn't work for others. As Nigewick is constantly saying, it really depends on circumstances.

One individual here has even accused the company of frightening under 15 year olds. As you cannot join the UW unless the member is 18+ I am waiting for the individual to return and explain this comment.

If UW works for you Blunty then great. If it doesn't that's fine also.

Now I'll wait for the bile to be thrown at me. It's par for the course on this site but you get used to it.

    Best wishes to you.

No bile, keggs, just pointing out that you come here with some strange agenda.

You are happy to come here and promote the uw, when this is far from the truth as far as you are concerned.

You have told the uw you are so upset with the way they now operate you are no longer attempt to sell their services or attempt to recruit more reps.

So why should you expect a clear run when you come here with your alter ego?
  • hi quintin as far as i know broadcall counts as two services and so does gas and electric that makes four plus a mobile dont know if this counts but i have been informed that i get 24/7 free national calls and my girl friend can call my mobile for free from the land line have i been miss informed or is this correct would like all views on this thanks

If you have to take 2 more services, then that means you are paying for their expensive utilities in order to "save" the £48.48 you have found you would have to pay elsewhere to get included calls at any time.

As you have found, their energy works out £241 more than the cheapest! Spending £241 to "save" £48 just doesn't make any sense! And they don't do "retention" deals, whereas many ISPs will do you a good deal to stay with them (eg o2 drop their monthly charge as low as £5 - £10 once your initial contract is up), so the £48 saving you now see would dwindle the longer you stayed with them.
  • i spend 10000 a month using there card and my mobile line rental i have been adviced goes down each year and christmas is coming so will be spending a lot more

If you are able to spend all this money every month, then surely you don't want to just chuck more away on buying the uw's expensive energy etc?

(Regarding their mobile phones, unlike other networks if you want to leave them they charge you £20 for a PAC and another £10 unless you return their (useless) SIM card!)

If you think the UW is benefiting you that's all that matters...........

My advice - don't respond to anything anyone says here including UW distributors.

Of course, there is just the chance that the UW has mislead you into thinking you can get a financial benefit by joining them.

But you know that from your own research which has shown you could save hundreds of pounds by going elsewhere!

And seeing keggs advise anyone not to respond in this thread is a bit rich, knowing his career here (constantly vowing never to return, pretending to us he is happy with uw, when he is bitterly unhappy with the uw when discussing it elsewhere etc etc)

The split personality of keggs now calls my posts "bile".

    All very strange.

eg. On the topic I raised of UW charging their mobile customers £20 for a PAC and £10 if they don't return their (useless to anyone) old SIM when leaving UW, it turns out keggs feels strongly about it - all part of his disenchantment with UW he shows elsewhere:

This is what he had to say about it when complaining bitterly to the UW management elsewhere on the net:

This is just one of a number of things that's going on now which I'm at a loss to understand.....Why UW is doing this is beyond me.......Not just that there is a real vocal anti UW out there. This sort of thing is manna from heaven to these people. It (wrongly) confirms their ridiculous attitude. But more than that, it doesn't help you, me or anyone else who believe in what the company offers.

    Talk about undermining us.

If any of the directors or MDs are reading this, please get to grips and take the company back to what it once was... a great, fair and honest company.

All very strange to us reading his "happy with UW" posts he comes here with.
