As I stated, I made an error in my statement regarding the Price Promise, and I apologise to the MSE readers for any confusion caused.
I'll leave you to your argument now, because you seem to have the ear of the moderators in determining what should and should not be viewed. Anything that doesn't conform with your point of view is reported. Such a sad state of affairs that you choose to skew information and warp facts to suit your own purposes, whilst all the time accusing UW Distributors of doing just that.
Your information is bogus, your point of view is flawed, and you complain about UW distributors making personal attacks, only to come back with:Though a mother would not expect her Financial Advisor of a son to mis state such a thing to her would she?

Your information is bogus,......
which insinuates that I would deliberately try to con my own mother just to get a customer. .....I'm a very highly-qualified professional who advises clients on investments in the millions of pounds.
Firstly I never reported you. You brought the deletion of your rude post on yourself. You should be grateful your rude comments have gone - how does it look for a "professional" like you claim to be to be seen posting on behalf of UW in that manner?
Your apology counts for little whilst you choose to leave your original "mis-stated" claims about the current UW offer up on the board. You know how misleading they are!
You now say my "information is bogus". No it isn't.
As far as the UW offer to give their members the cheapest energy, everything I have said to show it is misleading comes straight from the UW website. Maybe you could detail what information is bogus?
As far as your qualifications go, they haven't stopped you making (more than one) misleading claims here to the benefit of UW which have been corrected.
And it was you who brought up the topic of your Mum being a happy customer! (yet we know you "misunderstood" the UW offer to supply the cheapest energy or give twice the difference back, and presumably your customers have all had this "mis-stated" to them, including her!)0 -

.
How do you reconcile being a 'very highly qualified professional' advisor, and a UW salesman?
P.S.
Are you sure posts have been reported - by quentin or anyone else? Have any been removed?0 -

Got contacted by rep who said they were offering cheapest gas and electric etc......then when asked them to quote the actual prices compared to the big six she got very nasty indeed, hinting that different areas of the country had different prices, expect me to understand this from her, we are cheaper than the big six.
Reason she turned nasty I said you statement is misleading and then she carried on trying to flog my pone and broadband saying i would defiantely save if took those out with them as well.
Some of the UW reps are only after their commission and rather lax in the terms and conditions, I suspect half of them dont know them themselves !!
I would never trust IW based on this womans behaviour.
Why is it only reps of UW who evern paint them good or why does it always turn out those who do approve of them turn out to be reps, biased because depends on money.0 -
Because if all you go looking for are lemons, you will only find lemons.
I can point you towards many customers of mine who are not distributors, not family members or friends of mine - they are simply customers - who have founds the services to be excellent, the customer service fantastic and the savings that they have been able to make by taking the UW proposition as a whole remarkable.
There is a lot of focus on the gas and electricity tariffs. Phone costs. Broadband charges. Much of the discussion in this forum tends to concentrate on one individual aspect in isolation. Try as we might, us UW distributors cannot get the denizens of this forum to understand that looking at a single element of the services is like going for a five-course meal and only looking at the starter menu. It's the combination of the services together which make up the real benefits, just like combining all of the different dishes in a menu.
Of course, there will be some distributors who are less skilled than they could be. There are also some British Gas employees who aren't as good as some others. Some NPower staff are new and less skilled than their longer-serving colleagues. The fact that you have had a bad experience with this one individual distributor doesn't equate to the whole proposition being bad. A statement like "some of the UW reps are only after their commission" makes me wonder how many you have spoken to? I would suggest you have only spoken to one and you are drawing broad sweeping generalisations based on that, which is a shame.

From our experience here, you seemingly experienced the norm! (Especially true when you see their training videos/calls)
(See how easy Meeper from UW assured us they do give you back double the difference if you go with them and find any cheaper supplier - yet when he was corrected took umbrage and resorted to personal abuse instead of clarifying his (found out) "mis- statement")
But if you were being told all this by a friend/relative (the way they operate - sell to your own circle), you wouldn't expect to be mislead like this.0 -
Why not? I am currently in my office, sorting out someone's £500,000 inheritance tax liability by use of an investment bond combined with a discounted gift trust and whole of life insurance policy. This evening, I will be doing UW work. I have two jobs. Is that a problem?
To try and impress readers with claims to be 'very highly qualified' Financial Adviser(presumably Chartered staus!) dealing in £millions, are somewhat devalued by selling UW products in the evening.0 -

--UW Distributor
We have all experienced your way of handling queries regarding UW.
Under your rude byline "correcting idiots since 2010" you happily posted totally false info regarding UW's misleading claim to supply their members the cheapest energy.
Yet even though you have now admitted to have "mis-stated" the truth (by a big way - saying all customers have to do is find a cheaper supplier to get twice the difference refunded by UW - totally untrue), and having it pointed out how shallow the apology is when you allow the false and misleading info to remain on the board, you just tell us how professional you are etc etc.
And of course none of your colleagues would correct you - even though they must have known you were trying it on, and thereby bvringing UW unto disrepute!0 -
Go looking for lemons and all that rubbish, I went looking for cheapest gas and electric, and found a lemon of a company rep talking the talk with no foundation !!!!!
I gave her every chance and she got nasty, I mean I only asked what I would ask any company, quote per units etc.....and she got very abusive derogatory even.
So I on my experience will happily call UW a lemon, thanks0
