Is Quentin rehashing old arguments . The company has moved on. Pity he or she hasn't. Even the MSE site has finally seen the light with its member voting UW as the third best company for Home Phone and Broadband. I suppose Quentin will accuse MSE visitors of skewing the results just like he tries to do with Which?
What a sad individual. Get ready for an attack.0 -

Why is it that all the personal attacks come from UW salespersons? with never a reasoned defence to the points Quentin raises.
Do you not consider that rather sad?
On the subject of the TVG, it seems that many UW sales people are trying to distance themselves from that Guarantee; which surely must mean they realise it is, and always was, worthless.0 -

I've had a good look around MSE and I can't find any mention of a members survey on Home Phone and Broadband. Can you provide a link please so that I can read through it?
Thanks very much.0 -

The survey was for best customer service not value for money.
"Utility Warehouse topped the home phone poll with a massive 87% voting its customer service as good.
However, this could be a skewed result as Utility Warehouse customers are encouraged to recommend and even sell the product to others in return for lower bills, so would therefore be likely to rate its service highly. "

On the subject of the TVG, it seems that many UW sales people are trying to distance themselves from that Guarantee; which surely must mean they realise it is, and always was, worthless. Not really. It's simply not something that is a focus of our product at the current time.
So the is TVG, which is still featured on UW's website, still representative of UW's sales technique?
Or just an embarrassment?
A straight question! Do you think the TVG fits in with the ethos of UW.0 -

Even MSE realise that any survey involving UW will have skewed results.
Have you not seen the caveat on the results? - see Ypaymore's post above - Not surprising with 30,000+ UW salesmen plus family and friends all with a vested interest in promoting the firm.0 -
'Could' = 'will' now I see.
And it works both ways, I suppose. MSE's review of UW didn't mention the cashback card once, which I did find a surprising omission.0 -
I suppose Quentin will accuse MSE visitors of skewing the results.....
Not necessary.
MSE already accused this as part of their report.....this could be a skewed result as Utility Warehouse customers are encouraged to recommend and even sell the product to others in return for lower bills, so would therefore be likely to rate its service highly....0 -
Instead of belly aching on here, wouldn't the best course of action be to report the above to the ASA as I believe their remit also now includes ad wording on the internet? Surely they are the experts at deciding what is and isn't misleading as opposed to some random internet poster? Any one of the usual suspects ever actually done this? If so, what was the outcome? And if not, why not?0
