At least with a direct debit for each thing you know how much you are spending on each utility.
The one thing you cannot fault UW on is their billing (IMO). Very clear and precise for each service you have with them.
(Soon to be an ex-customer but I am going to miss those all-in-one bills)0 -

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
Yours isn't shared by Which? though.
They compared uw's billing against the top 6 energy suppliers.
And found them by far the worst for supplying understandable bills.

Having just left UW after being with them for 14 months, their all in one bills were fine and perfectly readable.
Found them infinitely preferable to the likes of EON, BG etc...
UW have their faults but I really don't think this is one of them.0 -

You have a right to your own opinion.
But if you follow the links given to the Which? report on the issue you'll see that they and their members take a far different view on bills from UW.
Which? even spell out to UW what they need to do to improve their poor billing score (as you will see they are rock bottom in comparison to the "likes of BG and Eon")0 -
Perhaps Utility Warehouse bills should also show the commission the distributor makes each month from the customer for doing sweet fanny adams in most cases.0

As you well know, the which? report which showed uw to be the best value wasn't a which? report at all, but compiled from questionnaires filled in by customers of the energy companies.
The make up of uw's customers (on average around 9 for each rep) does suggest they will be biased towards uw (what possible reason would they give them 5 stars for best value when even which? pointed out how much more expensive they are than the competition?).
The which? campaign to get energy suppliers to give out better bills is run by the consumers association, and so the findings are independent.
If you read the report it does tell uw how they need to improve.
This is an independent report, and holds far more credibility for customers regarding bill clarity. But everyone to their own opinion (which I acknowledged above), though anyone wanting an unbiased view would want to hear what which? say not the uw reps or relatives/friends of them who make up their customers.0 -

Commission varies between about 2.5% and 5% depending on which and how many services are taken and how many customers the distributor has and/or has signed up. There are also payments for the actual signing up of a new customer. The money keeps coming as long as the customers stay with the company. Good innit!
I am an independent distributor with Utility Warehouse and the views I express may not be shared by the company. The mind of the bigot is like the pupil of the eye; the more light you pour upon it, the more it will contract.

Only for UW distributors, NOT for the gullible customers that they sign up! Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
Keggs comes back here to defend uw.
But as previously posted is very unhappy elsewhere, especially about the deal the reps are now asked to sell.
So unhappy he says he can no longer do it.
Yet still returns here time and time again to take up the cudgels. What can be the motive?
Another statement showing the forked tongue:keggs wrote:The company is on the wrong path as far as I'm concerned. The management seem to believe their own hype now which is not a good sign.0
