Still happy with UW but was drawn to them by the WHICH magazine report and the fact that many of my friends are happy customers.
Not the cheapest for many but the cheapest for me!
I take it that wasnt the same which? report that said that UW were 20 - 30% more expensive in most cases...Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -
Who owns landlines that UW sell as bundled internet+phone ?
I'm helping some people to move to LLU internet, which UW rep told thay can do, even though there are only 2 companies that supply LLU in Dungannon O2 and TalkTalk(via CPW).
My question is - can UW be a middleman in supplying LLU internet in that area ?
I'm asking this with a hope to avoid "reconnection ripoff" fee from BT, to move the line back to them... (does it even cost anything ? moving non-bt line back to bt ?)...
UW use Talk Talk to supply their llu phone/broadband service called broadcall in most parts of UK.

At the present time if your line originated from BT you can return to them free of charge under the return to doner scheme. But you will be subject to a 12 months contract.
Did the UW rep mention the membership fee by any chance.
Are you aware the UW distributor commission structure incentives them to get customers to take as many services as they can, irrelevant to suitability, and that they also receive ongoing cuts of customer's bills for doing absolutely nothing at all for it.0 -

I think you need to learn a little more before making inflammatory statements like that.0 -

Fantastic. Does this mean that UW will refuse to pay any commision if the UW product is not suitable for the end customer. This is a great step forward and UW should be applauded (if it's true).
Are they stopping the practice of giving a percantage of a customer's bill to the ID who signed them up too? I thought that was one of the main pulls for becoming an ID?0 -
Care to post your usage figures so we can see how they can be the cheapest. It would be a rare event if they were.
They are the cheapest for me as I have stated before that I am not on the National Grid as I live in a new build home and I need to pay a connection fee which was too expensive with EDF and Eon.So even though I may pay for for my usage it is more than offset by the low cost of connection by UW:j0 -

It wasn't what was said that was wrong it was the tone in which it was said. UW IDs do receive an income from customers and the customers of team members. What's wrong with that. Your boss receives an income in exactly the same way. There's one big difference you will never earn more than your boss. My team members can earn far more than me if they want. I think that's far fairer. The more customer they sign up the more money they make. Whether that's either through their own personal efforts or their team's efforts.0 -
Keggs comes here and promotes the opportunity after saying he want be back. Yet rumour has it he tells his UW friends that he,s not going to promote it anymore because he is no longer happy with with the company.0

Hi Keggs.
Steve,
I thought you were now promoting a green opportunity. Are you still doing it?
Rgds. Hurrah.0 -

Are you saying that UW does not encourage distributors to get customers to take as many services as they can and pays them more for doing so.
What do distributors do then to get the ongoing cuts of their customers bills? Do they offer a utility review service annualy to make sure their on the right tariffs etc0
