    No, not the quotes.

I presume he is a member of a UW salesmen only website. I thought the only quotes were from [STRIKE]Dancing Boy [/STRIKE]Keggs.

Anyway I thought that you doubted the authenticity of those quotes;)

Incidentally I believe Quentin and Julian Assange are one and the same person.

I thought he had hacked in, or are you saying you believe he is a UW sales rep, which surely you need to be to access this web-site. Either way he is clearly breaking the rules as it is clearly stated that the information should not be copied to other web-sites, I am surprised that MSE allow it.

I did ask for a link so we could all read these quotes from the original source, not an unreasonable request really! I doubt most things from this thread, unless I see the evidence with my own eyes!

Funnily enough, I picked up on that bit of 'idle talk' from Cardew. What a faux-pas, eh? So, Cardew, Quentin is either a UW distributor or he's hacking into that distributor only site. Which is it? If it's the former, he's been telling porkies on here. Happy about that? If it's the latter, are you happy to be supporting a hacker on here? Over to you...

PS Just had a further thought on this - if Quentin IS a UW distributor...shouldn't he include the info on some of his posts on here? Just to stay within the rules he quotes so often, of course.

It varies from Month to month, generally I'll do about 400 a month or so but some months it can get upto 600 minutes, I guess i could beat them down to £10 a month and reduce the numbers to 500 or so but I'm happy with it overall. However, you've hit upon an interesting point, voice calls are on the decline on phones as more and more people use data services (I suspect you will not be surprised to know that Facebook usage is the most popular data service).

You haven't provided any cheaper like for like deals, cgk1. Have you forgotten or are you struggling?

I'm the same. When I took the tariff it was originally 300 mins for £15/month, but I was told it could be doubled for the same price/contract length. I didn't know if i'd use the allowance or not at the time, but there seemd to be no harm in it, so I took it on. With an iPhone, unlimited data is also a boon on the Simplicity tariff. I don't know if that's still available now.

I could be mistaken but I think that only Three and Gaffgaff now do unlimited data packages. However as an existing customer that does not impact you.

I think going forward, I'll be sim-only rolling forever, I'm a big fan of the android OS and the headsets are getting silly cheap, my current one cost me £70 and the functionality is fine for my needs.

We have seen uw reps making use of the net, but deliberately using their kids????

Most right thinking parents wouldn't dream of exploiting their kids like this, not to say put them at risk. But Big Al would feel proud his brain washing techniques have been put to use!

I must say that it is interesting and refreshing to see the debate continue around the actual issues regardless of random links from Quentin/Cardew (who I actually believe are the same person posting under different usernames, by the way). Kudos to the others who are actually making meritous points and not just posting random links and making no contribution to the discussion other than to highlight a personal agenda.

Back to the topic, I don't know too much about the unlimited data packages, but don't they generally come with a fair use policy or something similar which actually cuts down the usage in the small print? As I say, I don't know much about it, so I may be mistaken.

You are the uw rep who posted that now you work for them, you have discovered the qualities of the UW!

Those qualities are seen in the way you are trained to take advantage of friends natural desire to help out, and how to mislead your friends into believing their "friend" is cutting them in on a way to get their utilities at wholesale prices instead of retail.

So of course it's a continuation of the debate you started!

Are you all encouraged to also exploit any cute kids you have by directing them to make a uw promotion aimed at getting their friends to tell their parents all about UW, and to ring them up etc etc?
  • I genuinely can't see any mobile network offering totally unlimited data ongoing - you just have to see what happened with T Mobile's data over the lst month. originally it was unlimited (with a 3gb limit) then they tries to bring it down to 500mb, i.e. a 2.5gb reduction. After all hell broke loose I believe they are now allowing ppl already on it to stay on it but new customers get 'unlimited' data of 500mb!!

The ones that are truly unlimited are just basically going to attract the abusers that the other networks don't want, they will join giffgaff or Three and carry on 'abusing' the system and Three and giffgaff will start losing money. I know giffgaff are in a strange situation due to having net only support 9no telephone support at all) but, backed by O2 or not, I genuinely can't see them continuing with totally unlimited forever. If they are forced to put a FUP on, off the abusers will go to Three until they can no longer support it....I suppose time will tell, but I just think it brakes all the rules of common sense. Giving some punters unlimited data (ar calls or texts for that matter) is a bit like locking Amy Winehouse is a room full of booze and telling her behave herself...

No idea, we have never been provided with a link! Just information that gets copied, then re-posted onto this forum!
