All I've done, however, is post in a similar style to you and your Cardew alter-ego.
You previously stooped to posting out and out personal abuse, as well as being offensive to anyone calling the Samaritans.
Those posts were deleted, so now you have started to accuse me of having an AE.
Just not true, which you know, but again just carry on and let us all see the standards the UW is prepared to accept from its reps.
They must be truly proud of the way you represent your company here!0 -
More misleading info on the web from a well known uw rep:I can help you get a better deal on your household and / or business utility bills (telephone, energy, internet etc) than you are probably getting from your present suppliers.
Since I joined the club many years ago, I shudder to think how much I would be paying my old suppliers if I was still with them.
This online ad shouts about "MAKING MONEY"
But wouldn't it be nearer the truth for him to shudder at all the money he's wasted on expensive energy over the years he's been a "happy" customer? At least we know the scales have fallen from his eyes now! But it seems he's still trying to convince others he remains happy!Wonder how UW get away with such misleading ads on the net? When pulled up by the ASA over these sort of misleading ads they just say "nothing to do with us, it's the work of a rogue rep"!.0 -
Millicent, are you saying then that UW, by offering a 300Mb package are basically the same as other providers who say that they are "unlimited", but then put a FUP in place, whereas UW, by being open and transparent with their offering in the first place might be losing out my not using a workaround to market themselves as "unlimited"? Surely such an unscrupulous company such as this would try to take advantage of the consumers by saying that it is unlimited when it's not?
I would be very surprised if any company now offers an unlimited bolt-on, except maybe 3. I used to be on O2 when they did have a genuinely unlimited bolt on, but they found because of the rise of usage of iPhones etc, they had to reduce that down to 1Gb or 500Mb for new and existing customers. Vodafone, who I'm with now, don't claim to offer an unlimited package. It's 500Mb a month for certain tariffs, and 1Gb a month for others.
I've got an iPhone (which is the main reason I'd never look at UW for mobile because they don't offer competitive tariffs for iPhone users) and I would say I use about 500Mb a month. I surf the web a lot and I have a few apps, including one which I occasionally use to map where I'm walking to for fitness reasons.
In terms of UW's tariffs, they are easily the most competitive for sim only deals. So if you're someone who will never use the internet then there is a huge benefit to switching to them. However, as soon as you want to have a phone included, or want to use a lot of the internet, then they aren't the greatest company to choose. I had a look at the tariffs for the Nokia C7:
UW - £35 a month for a 30 (2.5 years) month contract with unlimited calls and texts and 300Mb data usage plus £39.99 for the phone.
Vodafone - £35.75 a month for a 24 (2 years) month contract with 1200 minutes, unlimited texts and 500Mb data usage plus free phone.
So while you get more minutes, the phone is cheaper and you get more data usage (although should you go over your calls minute usage UW are cheaper).
It all depends on personal preference. If you want a deal with good internet usage, I don't think you could recommend UW, especially with the ridiculously long contract lengths. They are absurd. However, for a sim only deal then UW are the cheapest in the country so long as you never plan to use the internet.0 -

Another eminently sensible post, Twitters  I was reading on iii the other day from a UW distributor that UW have stopped offering iphone contracts due to Apple stopping all discounts on it, making it not economically viable, plus they now can't offer iphone SIM only deals, either.
Just a word on taking any of the mobile deals, including the unbeatable (for non data users) SIM only deals - if they are bought as an add-on to, say, UW's broadcall service then they also qualify the user to receive unlimited evening calls to the usual suspects in addition to the weekend calls they would already receive. It's added value for people already in the UW club (plus as they would already be paying the monthly club fee the prices for them shown, i.e. £10, £15 and £20 is the actual price you will pay.
Combine these with the UW cash back card and it makes it even more of a no-brainer. A household buying the vast majority of their groceries from Asda or Sainsburys (petrol included here, of course) could potentially get their £10/mth (£11.50/mth if they are not already members) for free.0 -
It is a pity we don't get the juicier links any more - like Big Al's 'The public are mugs' address to the massed gathering of UW reps.
You mean the video "Manipulating minds by Big Al", where the reps were adressed by Big Al at their rally and urged when speaking to their friends about UW to "Control their mind and freeze their brain with four words..."I just found out...","....he did the Company proud with an outstanding presentation covering approaches that result in lots of rejection free presentations, introducing the controversial idea that we should all be manipulating the minds of other people for fun and profit.
This is an outstanding video and essential viewing (again and again) for anyone wishing to stop working hard and start working effectively
Someone with a bit of sense at UW must have realised the damage done to UW by us all seeing what went on at the reps rally, and despite urging the reps to watch it again and again have in fact taken it down!
But if you saw it you'd never forget the insight we got!0 -
Logging on with one alter-ego and quoting something that you said with another is a good plan to throw people off the scent.I am an Independent Financial AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as an Independent Financial Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. I have already replied to you that I don't have an AE - you know that, yet following on from your personal abuse posts (now removed) you continue to post this, again seemingly designed to provoke trouble.
Just carry on revealing your "qualities".

Why should I believe you when you say that but you don't believe MillicentByStander when (s)he says that (s)he doesn't have any other identities either? The internet is a great leveller, you see. None of us actually know each other or anything about each other. Whilst I have no evidence that you and Cardew are the same person, I similarly have no evidence that you are not. This is exactly the same position in which you find yourself regarding Millicent, so, in the immortal words of a self-proclaimed helpful individual - put up or shut up. You provide your evidence that proves your assertions, and we can discuss the matter further. Until then.....your words are meaningless.

Quentin up to his usual tricks - as soon as the market leading SIM only deals are mentioned, direct the conversation elsewhere. I do think it pertinent that he neither nor Cardew (if they are indeed 2 people) have ever made mention of the SIM only deals. They MUST be good. So, here's a refresher for the reader:
£10/mth (£11.50/mth for new customers)
500 x-net/landline minutes and unlimited texts*.
£15/mth (£16.50 for new customers)
800 x-net/landline minutes and unlimited texts*.
£20/mth (£21.50 for new customers)
Unlimited x-net/landline calls*** and unlimited texts*.
* Totally unlimited as long as you are not texting to more than 100 separate numbers.
** FUP of 3,000 minutes applies.
Serving suggestion
Combine the £10 SIM with UW Broadcalll and get:
*Phone Line Rental
*Free/inclusive evening & weekend calls to 01, 02, 03, 0870 and the most popular International destinations.
*24/7 free (inclusive) landline calls to other UW Homephone customers.
*Up to 24MB broadband
*40Gb monthly download allowance
*500 x-net/landline calls
*Unlimited texts**
*Guaranteed UK call centre
*Access to UWs cashback pre-paid Mastercard which offers savings off your bill of between 3-7% commensurate with expenditure at the stores included. Many of the big High Street names are included in this scheme, and 3 major supermarkets (Asda, M&S and Sainsburys).
All for £32.94 per month****.
** Truly unlimited texts provided you don't text to over 100 different numbers.
*** FUP of 3000 minutes.
**** This price includes £1 min. monthly call charge which will probably be offset by day time calls anyway.0 -
