That's what i was suggesting earlier. Ebico also got 5 stars for Value For Money. Using cardew's favourite part of the country (Midlands) and inputting average consumption into UKpower and payment method DD, Ebico are actually £35 more expensive than UW (and that includes UWs £18 yearly club fee). Still didn't stop them getting 5 stars for value for money. I notice Quentin hasn't mentioned this is his various Which survey 'rants'.

To be fair to Ebico, their rates are the same no matter how you pay.
This includes those on prepayment meters.
That gum you like is coming back in style.

Agreed but we don't know how many of the Ebico respondees are paying for their gas and electricity. Similarly, we don't know how many of the UW respondees were low users who prefer (need) paper billing. Of course, some of these UW customers may be low users who prefer paper bills and may also have got UWs £10.75 phone line rental with free evening and weekend calls? We've already established on here that for low users with no net access UW are more than comeptitive (the figures even prompted you to ask if UW had not yet put up their prices!) If we were to take Quentin and Cardew's arguments at face value, surely the Big 6 companies that are top of the switching sites should come top of Which's value for money. They don't so there must be other criteria by which punters measure value for money.
  • Ebico were judged on 46 respondees!

I wonder, Upto, (because I don't recall seeing this question posed yet...) would UW be a viable option in your circumstances?

You definitely can't use this forum like this to tout for business!

Your flattery is patronising, and to suggest a level headed sensible person would take on the busy fool role with the risky card (which now pays such a poor return by comparison with other schemes) just to make up the savings he makes elsewhere is just clutching at straws.
  • LOL. Still no word from Quentin on the SIM only deals. Talk about predictable...

I love you Quentin. You do provide me with such entertainment.

Back to the matter at hand - it is indeed a small sample size of 185 respondents compared to thousands for some of the Big 6. However, 185 is still a decent number of people and it has to be said that if everyone who was with UW did put a reponse in surely there would be thousands of unscrupulous people trying to skew the figures in our favour?

We know there is one rep for every 9 customers.

And the reps are encouraged to recruit their friends and family.

Draw your own conclusion from how easy it is for uw to skew a survey like this.

The other companies don't have a ratio of one rep to 9 customers drawn mainly from their circle.
