Freecle / freecycle and balloons on sticks

I think some mods get too obsessed with the landfill thing. My friend recently tried to give away some theatre tickets on Freecycle and her message was rejected because they won't clog up landfill. She said she could understand if the group was really busy, but it only gets about 20 messages a day.
Yep I think so too. I had a bunch of those £5 Boots vouchers I was never going to use, and my offer of them on Freecycle was also rejected due to the landfill thing.
Anyway, I sent an email back to the mod saying I disagreed with their stance, as electronics get binned all the time. Their reasoning has now changed to rejecting my message because too many people ask for games consoles, so they're banning all ads asking for them! Funny how there's a message been posted today asking for a PS3 to give the kiddies for Christmas...0 -

Oh goody, Yahoo mail down yet again. We almost managed a week this time before it developed issues.
I have had a failed collection from last week and emailed her to say she would need to let me know this morning whether she still wanted it otherwise it is going to the charity shop later today. I've also had a failed collection from 9am this morning and needed to log in just to make sure she hadn't sent apologies before I charity shop her item as well.
I wish freegle would give up on Yahoo and find a better mail service.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. We get a lot of people offering something rubbish then immediately putting a wanted.
Last week someone offered a broken umberella then asked for a sofa which must be in good condition!!!0 -

On ours, you see people posting wanted ads for items that have just been offered. They must think that that's going to give them a headstart.0 -
Hi, I know this is a bit of a long shot, but, you never know!!
We could really make use of a caravan. We are lucky enough to have managed to get Glastonbury tickets, not been for over 10 years, and now have three kids to take too! It would be great if we could take a caravan, so we have a safe sturdy base, in case it's a muddy one!
It would also be useful for sorting and storing stuff in whilst we decorate the house over winter.
If anyone has a caravan they are wanting to get rid of, we would be very pleased to re-home it!
Thanks for reading,.
