We have a lady local to me who takes her dog around in one of those old Silvercross prams, so maybe not as uncommon as we think, although still very odd!0 -

Bless ! - I would loveto see a photo - with the dogs onboard !:)As Martin says - please be nice - there is no such thing as a stupid question !0 -
Just seen this - made me laugh -
"Wanted - Sturdy dog lead and collar - My dog has chewed through three of these recently.
Does anyone possibly have one that might defeat him"0 -
This has just been posted on ours, I'm sure that with her impeccable manners she will be inundated with offers.
Wanted: several things
Thursday, 4 November, 2010 14:44
From:
Wanted stuff:
Chest of drawers (want three sets)
1 Wardrobe
Dryer
Hoover
Bicycles for girls (2) age 11 and boy age 10
Bookcases
I don't know why a please or thank you is so difficult.
There was someone the other day who wanted brown or cream leather sofas, curtains & cushions to match, cream paint & co-ordinating pictures, as they would like a nice lounge.
Pine bedroom furniture, bedding, curtains & pictures in cream & brown.
I'm guessing that they wanted a nice bedroom as well.
Although I'm thinking that they got their Freecycle & Father Christmas list confused.0 -
one poster on our freecycle is allways asking for Dell laptops broken or otherwise - no explanation why they want them and no please or thankyou ever - I emailed them about saying please
- just got a load of abuseAs Martin says - please be nice - there is no such thing as a stupid question !0 -

I attempted to post on my local Freecycle last night. I'm looking for dead games consoles to repair for practice as I want to get into it properly, I included in my post that I would be happy to return any successes to their original owner. But the moderator has rejected my post on the basis that manufacturers fix broken consoles because they have warranties, so obviously they'll never end up in landfill!! I think maybe she's missed out on the fact that warranties don't last forever.0

I think some mods get too obsessed with the landfill thing. My friend recently tried to give away some theatre tickets on Freecycle and her message was rejected because they won't clog up landfill. She said she could understand if the group was really busy, but it only gets about 20 messages a day.0
