Well the Christmas rush has started on ours! Yesterday someone wanted an ipad 2, MUST be in EXCELLENT CONDITION (yes thats how it was written! ) then today there were requests for a ps3 and a 3ds!
Unbelievable! !!!!!!

Our local Freecycle only allows 4 Wanted posts per month which I think is reasonable and prevents people being so greedy and choosy. I know many many people are struggling just now but they also want items which are so up to date that it would be too soon for people to be clearing them out. In our parents' young days, they were given items to start their homes with (from older family and friends) and the items may not have been what they would have chosen to buy, in some cases, but they were very grateful to have them. Nowadays there are so many people who want things for nothing and are far too fussy, even though they are getting items for free. Freecycle is a great website throughout the world and it keeps items from piling up on scrap heaps if people can use them but some of the Wanted items are unbelievable!

Had a line down screen, now tries but fails to start after couple of seconds, DVD wrecked & hinge covers missing, no charger and battery dud, has memory but hdd removed.
