I know we've had posts like this in our Freegle from people who have been on the housing list for ages and have suddenly been offered a flat. Until they get the basics, they carry on sofa surfing or living with family.

Maybe their current buggy broke? Which would explain (a) why they need one and (b) why they might not have money saved as this wasn't an expected expense.

Maybe their plan is to get what they can on Freegle (keeping it out of landfill and saving themselves some money) and buy the rest. Seems silly to buy everything new just because you know you won't be lucky enough to get it all for free. And until you know which of these things people have to give away you wouldn't know which ones to ask for.

I am glad to see this thread is still alive and well!

We have had about 20 messages recently, all exactly the same asking for an oojamaflip trolley and giving a condescending description of what it is (if you had one, surely you would know?!). After seeing it every week for months, I finally cracked and responded saying that perhaps they should try ebay, as they can be bought for about £30 and it is quite a niche item, and to be honest it was getting on my nerves seeing it every week... They didn't appreciate that! Haha. Their response told me I was not the first person to suggest they tried paying for one. I have not seem them try again since but I live in hope...

Still looking for these for my Dad's room. Can anyone help? Not worried
about a few scratches and marks as long as the drawers are solid wood.
Pine or any solid wood. I would also like a pine bedside cabinet or set
of 3 drawers for my room. I got one from freecycle earlier in the year,
but need a second one for the other side of the bed. Been asking for
    months but still nothing.

    I wonder why?!

I would say they dont mind 'ends' of balls of wool. Wool that someone has used to knit a jumper with and are now lurking in the bottom of their knit bag.
