Recently had someone offering broken asbestos roofing sheets on Birmingham freegle.Mmm,tempting.Fortunately they were removed after complaints

I saw that one too, there was also something similar on the Dudley freecycle just after, hopefully it won't start a trend.

    Saw this one yesterday:

    Hi,

Has anyone got a 4 man tent (preferably not too difficult to assemble) as i am taking my daughter and her 2 friends camping and i have no camping stuff!!
Thought it would be cheaper holiday but forgot about all the stuff you need.
Also if anyone has any other camping euipment they no longer use i would be very
    grateful.

    Thanks for reading,

:rotfl:That's quality! How can anyone forget you need a tent to go camping with!

I see your camping gear post and raise you the following (seen on our board this week):-

"Wanted: Camper Van. I know i know! No chance but i thought i would ask the question anyways lol But if anyone knows of a camper up for grabs going cheap then let me know. (preferably VW) Also looking for surf boards and a roof box! Anything would be very very much appreciated."

Hey dudes, I've booked this surfing holiday but dont have any means of getting there, anywhere to stay or anything to surf on.

At least they have the good grace to be a little tongue in cheek about it.

Just had an email about something I offered in January asking if it's still available. I know our group is pretty fast moving, but surely most people would have binned/sold/charity shopped something after 6 months?!!

Um, actually...my middle son is supposedly quite brilliant and got funding last year to go on an archaeological dig for 3 weeks in Italy. He had a print out of everything he needed to take and we were very pleasantly surprised when he got it all in one medium size suitcase. Then we got a call, he's forgotton the sleeping bag, all his clothes and all the other camping bits. He'd got the clothes he stood up in, a mosquito net, sun cream, a trowel two towels and a hat. This is the boy who looks as though he has funding for a Masters as well. Heaven help us.

A bit off subject but what has this thread got to do with balloons on sticks?

*Edit* Ok. OH thinks OP post may have meant "moon on a stick". I get it!
