Freecle / freecycle and balloons on sticks

:oi think it means some people want everything
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=moon%20on%20a%20stickphrase used widely by teenagers and young adults in the mid 90s as it was made popular by the comedy geniuses Stew Lee & Richard Herring. they used it mostly in the second series of their hit tv & radio show 'Fist of Fun'. It means basically to want everything, if you want the moon on a stick then you want everything, including things you can't have.
Rich: you wanted the moon on a stick...well look! i went up and got it for you!
Stew: but i don't want it!
I think OP got a bit confused lol

must be something to do with not being "down with the kids" with their "hipity hop music" and vampire / high school the musical nonsence :rotfl:
:beer:As Martin says - please be nice - there is no such thing as a stupid question !0 -
We had this on ours, felt like replying to be funny
"hi all, i'm in desperate need for a dishwasher, i have a trapped nerve in my hand finding impossible to do my dishes. esp with 2 kids that use every pot in the home. i hope someone has one they no longer use. not bothered about the state just as long as it works. its taken me ages to type this with one hand. thank you for reading.....fingers crossed..
happy freecycling..."
You can cross your fingers though :rotfl:, hope it doesn't hurt too much lol.0 -

Is there a post with all the free cycle type sites on?
I found freecycle snaffleup and ilovefreegle are there any others?
Thanks I'm a little new here so sorry if this is the wrong place to ask0 -
Today's digest includes TWO requests for everything for an unfurnished flat, and they are for two separate people. One is moving into an empty flat with only a case of clothes, and needs fittings, the other not only wants everything but also can't drive and hasn't access to anyone with transport so wants things delivered!
As proof that Freecycle sometimes works as intended, also on the digest is a 2 slice toaster offered by the gentleman I gave a 4 slice toaster to earlier in the week.
Our list used to have postings checked by mods before getting on the list, but my last few postings went straight on (with me getting responses within 5 minutes). Is it now normal for no moderation or is it only us?0 -
fpcat - thats when the mods are too lazy to bother checking every message
freeshare groups are strictly set to all messages are moderated0 -
Yet another "everything including the kitchen sink for camping" on ours today.
Just thinking, I don't fancy camping at all. Wonder if anyone would have any 5* villa holiday tickets going spare?0 -
I too have given up on freecycle, just give it to charity then you don't have to faff about!
After reading this I am tempted to post the following "wanted - 5 bedroom house with swimming pool, must be kidney shaped as square ones are ugly" :rotfl:0
