someone on ours is asking for cat food as she is very short of money and also she says i have enough main food in the house for my 9 year old son. but no snacks so if you have cat food and frontline that would be good but it would be even better if you could supply some snacks for my son to nibble on. Gosh what has this world come to if you have to ask for snacks for her son. Well sorry but if you have no money then there is certainly no snacks just bare necessaties of food. I had to laugh

    this was the actual ad

Cant believe I am posting this, but it seems the holidays have taken a big toll
on my finances. if anyone has any spare cat food for my two cats,(and frontline
if thats not pushing it) and anything spare for a 9 yr old boy to snack on I
would be very grateful. I have main meals for him,but he seems to be hungry in
between every meal, (so sorry to be asking,so humiliating) I would be very
grateful if anyone can spare something please. can collect tomorrow evening.
    many thanks in advance,

If she's that short of money perhaps she should be contacting the local social services.
Trouble is people WILL give her stuff.

this poor gorgeous boy needs to raise £1000 for an operation or face death head on litterally. we are appealing for any old quality clothes and or bric a brac or even heart felt donations to save this amazing 2 year old from leaving us. If you can help us please comment or pm, any donations would be grately appreciated plus look out for our upcoming events to raise money for this ex race horse and others horses as we founder a new charity to be called "worlds end 2" that will rehome and rehabilitate ex races and other horses and ponies facing death for no good reason. Anyone else's freecycle just full of wanteds?

I don't even have to log on to know there will be wanteds for the following
    Double/Kingsize bed
    Men/Womens bike
    Freezer
    Fridge
    Rabbit Hutch
    Camping equipment
    Fish Tank
    Sewing machine
    Garden furniture

It's just the same old things wanted everyday....
  • I think ours is pretty good on the whole. Seems to be a pretty 50/50 mix of wants and offers. I've given loads of stuff away in the past but never seen an offer I've wanted to take up. I've sent out some requests in the past but only got 1 person respond to one request, that person even dropped it round to the house on their way home from work one day, even though I'm always happy to collect.

My local freecycle is full of mainly wanteds though Freegle is a lot more balanced

I am expecting a flutter of request for freeview boxes in the upcoming weeks as our switchover is coming up - nowt wrong with that, but the day after I bet they'll be loads as people suddendly realise they have no TV
