Please do not offer alcohol on the group. Freecycle.org do not allow this. This
is a Freecycle rule and not just a local one!We are aware that the odd post has
slipped through in the past but it must not continue.
Please either offer it on the cafe group or find a friend relative or neighbour
to give it to.
our local mod posted this YET
2 weeks ago i posted 7 bottles of white wine we dont drink white - it was approved and guess what this same MOD requested it off me saying it was her anniversary soon - do I email her and say oh what about your request for my wine (she never got it off me mind) LOL

I would make a new post to the group, hopefully it will slip through.
OFFER: Sour grapes
All mods are welcome to help themselves, especially if you are the Mod who asked for bottles of wine I offered and were unfortunate enough not to get, then later made a point of reminding us all how we should not offer alcohol.0 -
A couple of times I have had a really quick response, within a couple of minutes of posting. Looked on the group and the message wasn't there, so it probably was a mod asking. Like the equivalent of a charity shop worker creaming items off before they hit the shop floor, doesn't seem right.I have had many Light Bulb Moments. The trouble is someone keeps turning the bulb off

Considering that the Freegle sites only run because the Mods put in a lot of unpaid hours to make them function, I would have been happy to let her have the wine.
If a Mod was routinely jumping in on good offers, I'd feel differently about it but ours don't do this.0 -

The reason I didnt offer it to said MOD was that I have given her loads of items already recently and the wine was already promised so couldnt give it to MOD. Our local MOD always seems to get on the bandwaggon obtaining items. Yes she puts in a lot of hours but she wont share the role with anyone hence items posted can take up to a day to show up. I dont see why i should have offered it to MOD just cause they are volunteers dont mean to say they should be offered everything. Otherwise why bother with the group and why just not email MOD direct and say are you interested in my offered items !!!!:eek::eek::eek::eek:

There's a bit of a difference in what she is asking for! As for specifying "antique" gah.
I am looking for a single/double/gents/childs wooden wardrobe for a child's bedroom. I would prefer an antique piece but I am going to paint it so open to offers.0 -
