Today in my digest email, there were wanteds for the following:

An outside pond (as opposed to an inside pond perhaps?)
A 10/12 foot trampoline - MUST have an enclosure
A computer tower (for a 5 year old to do homework - whatever happened to spelling lists?)

The mind boggles.
I guess saving a man from going to landfill is a very honourable thing, shame it's only going to be for an hour & then off he goes bunging up the site.

They can have my husband for as long as they like - he comes complete with his laptop so they could always re-offer the laptop or him at a later date (bet he goes before the laptop :rotfl:).

Hmm, yes because they are throw away bits of kit I should imagine.
I think that the spirit of freecycle has been lost somewhere & people are often using it as a wish list.
We have a woman who posts on ours, with very specific wants, beech or pine dressing table & bedside cabinets, not a please or thank you on her posts.

We had kittens on ours again a day or two ago! :mad:

Anyhow, turned out that if you responded, she then had the cheek to say that the kittens were £30 each!

I hate people who offer animals!

I know what you mean, but that's not the point. This is about saving stuff from landfill. Maybe someone has half a pack of seeds they can't use and would chuck them away. Why spend 99p on a pack of marigolds from Wilko if there's a pack down the road that's just about to be binned?

:rotfl: I read the above quote as someone wanting an old pair of marigold gloves. I must have spent too much time on the funny ebay listings recently.
Having now read the full message I see she wants 1 or 2 marigold plants.
