I had to look up what a Graco Travel System was, needless to say it doesn't look like the kind of pram a student with "limited funds" should be looking at.

they do get offered quite a lot as the really old models only sell for pennies 2nd hand. i picked one up for DS1 for £25.

I just respoded to a Wanted ad, suggested 2 times i'd be available for collection if they wanted item...... I got back "yes please, ring me on XXXX to arrange collection and give me your address". Its gone in the deleted items....... I refuse to waste my money (from a mobile as no land line) ringing someone!!
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:

I put my first 2 offers up on the weekend (no fence panels!) and got some really polite replies, but also quite a few 'empty' emails where presumably I'm meant to just reply to... is this normal FC etiquette? Don't want to get on my high horse if so, lol.

I think that some people (scroungy dealers) have set their emails to respond to all offers on FC so can't put a message in as they don't know what they're asking for.

whether it's FC etiquette or not (and I can't imagine it could possibly be) is irrelevant - you're the one gifting - if you feel it's impolite, it's your right to hit the delete button (as I did with two I got a couple of weeks ago)

Please stop using the word "of" when you actually mean "have" - it's damned annoying

Speaking as a list owner - you are free to offer the item to whoever you wish and respond or not respond as you see fit.

I'd just delete the blank replies myself. If you are anxious about not being seen to be rude yourself you can always post a Taken message with a general "thanks to all who replied - sorry too many to reply to individually" or similar ;)

Cheers, I worry far too much about what total strangers think of me! But I didn't want to be discounting ppl for 'rudeness' if they don't consider themselves rude. As it goes, I did get in touch with a 'blank email' who wanted some dvds, he was perfectly polite thereafter and turned up as agreed, which made it more confusing. Maybe I will stick with first come first served until experience teaches me different.

Looking for any cooking oil, used or unused - doesn't matter how old it is. Might benefit anyone who runs cafe/takeaway where it costs to dispose of it.

    Thanks,
    Ian
