    On my Freecycle today:

I am looking for an oak effect single wardrobe in good condition, which shelves in.

If you want something that specific, then buy one! Oh and maybe you could ask where you could find a "please" and a "thank you whilst you're there!

Also, offered on ours is a large greenhouse with staging - I dread to think how many replies he is going to get!
  • This one is cute really.

"Any sort of magnet that I can tie a piece of string round in order to lower it through a rather wide gap in the floorboards. I've dropped one of my favourite earrings down there and also some brand new tweezers."

I live near an around with a lot of students. I picture this young girl in a state over her earrings, and can't ask her parents to help her.

Me too, I'd never go back :D

I could have written that post by judderman62, glad to see I am not alone.

'Go back', wish I'd never left!

I'd happily swap it for an equivalent PC laptop, but won't be giving it away!

Wanted :- Mexican Pine Sideboard In or close to S******

looking for the above if anyone no longer as the room for one due to down sizing
Not too specific then. Yeah sure I was just going to throw my £100+ mexican sideboard in the landfill as I no longer want it.
Also no pleases or thank you's.
Some people really annoy me on freecycle.

The wanted posts on freecycle should be essential needs not lavish wants.

  • this one made me laugh:

Took my littlest out to learn on a bike we received on freecycle last year and she rode it instantly!! Unfortunately, the bike is old and a bit unsafe. I am hoping someone has a nicer one in a bit better condition so that she can get going on it. She is so excited to be able to do it!

    A bit unsafe
I would have thought that a first bike would either be safe or unsafe. If in any doubt, throw it out or get if serviced.

    Hi

As per the title really I want/need a MWB VW crafter not too high on
    mileage.

    Cheers

    Martyn

yes I'd quite like a free car or van that's not high on mileage as well, but I'd never dream of asking for it in this way - so am I thick or are there really such benevolent gifters on freegle?

Think they should name the group 'scroungecycle'.

    WANTED: Graco Travel System

Hi, my daughter is 5 and half months pregnant and would like a graco
travel system. As she at college on limited funds, she would like to
know if anyone could help her. Many thanks, Yvette

I had to look up what a Graco Travel System was, needless to say it doesn't look like the kind of pram a student with "limited funds" should be looking at.
