Im fed up of wallowing on an airbed and want to get one of the fold up type, similar to a very lightweight Z bed. A long one (Im 6ft 4) would be great.

Hi all we are looking for a Humidifier for our 6yr old son, he is really
suffering with blocked sinuses and coughing all the time, we have been told to put him in the bathroom close all doors and windows and put on all the hot water taps and shower to fill with steam, it would be much easier to get a humidifier.

Yeah 'cos god forbid you should put some effort into helping your child BREATHE :eek:

They could of course have just meant that it would be easier on the child not to have to be locked in the bathroom all the time!

Found this thread yesterday and had a giggle as I couldn't believe Freecycle was like this in some areas! In my area we don't get anything like this.

Anyway, registered for an area only 10 miles away as we're having a clear out :j and I just can't believe the wanted ads (nor the amount of them!!!)

A few of my favourites:

"WANTED: anyone giving kitten away - i want a fluffy kitten please if anyone as got one please contact me"

And a few minutes later by the same person....

"does anyone got fish tank they don't use any more and want get rid of it contact me"

But this one really made me do a proper belly laugh...

On ours today,
I am looking for a mobile home (preferable Log Cabin or Shed I can convert in any condition to put on land.
Also a wood burner.

If only I hadn't thrown away my log cabin that had a woodburner in when the bin men came this week they could have had mine. On second thoughts, no please or thank you so I am so glad that I sent it to landfill.
Funnily enough I need a new shed & would love a multi fuel burner, maybe I should just ask.

I've been having a massive spring clean and listed a ton of really nice stuff on freecycle in the past two weeks, I've been shocked at how many people when they respond to my offers don't feel its necessary to even type a message at all!

An example. Today I have listed Straightening irons (hardly used and a good make) and a camera bag. For the Irons so far I have had 3 responses, two were blank messages and the third wanted me to deliver. The Camera bag, Its only been listed for 15 mins and Ive had two blank messages. Do people really expect to get a response and a free item if they cant have the good grace to actually send me a nice polite message with a please and a thank you. Suffice it to say such people will go into my ignore list and Ill go with the politest reply. Is it just me? maybe i'm just getting old. :-/
