Oh gawd - I deleted the Bras one in my inbox... but it was a wonderful, rambling one for bras for deprived countries with the line that "obviously I won't be wearing one as I'm a man" in it.

I yes, I'm picturing the scene. Its the middle of Arfica, 3 miles to the nearest well and I've not eaten for a week but hey, my t1ts are well strapped up in a bra from freecycle...

I posted on my local group last week asking for oddments of china for a craft project. I had a lady send an email directly to my email address saying that she was collecting odd china too and so would like mine when I had finished with it! I was astounded by her cheek! I offer lots on the group but never before been asked for something I have not offered...

We had a message on our Freecycle this week from a woman saying that her elderly and ill parents are having to sleep on the floor which is making their health problems worse so could someone give them a kingsize bed. My thoughts were firstly if your parents were really in that state would you not give them your bed or let them sleep at your house? Secondly, why must they have a king size bed? I am sure most elderly couples manage with a normal sized bed.

lol some people can't read. I'd posted asking for a moses basket and stand a couple of times. no responses (despite about 10 'offered' ones coming up in that time which i never got). eventually bought one and put something along lines of "recieved....well not recieved but now no longer required as baby due any day so had to go buy one". got an email saying "does that mean the stand is still going if so i'll have it for my daughter".

I posted on my local group last week, i have a king size bed FRAME to giveaway. Had one reply, so i offered to send a pic, then asked if it includes a mattress?

So this person then posts on the group that they urgently need a king size mattress, and i haven't heard from them since. I have recieved a couple more messages, asking if it can be viewed, and can someone ring up this weekend to arrange collection sometime? But not this weekend, i just have to hold onto the bed until they can decide when to collect it. I think i will have to end up having to pay to dispose of the bed myself. Cant believe nobody wants a good condition solid pine bed though.

The local group is just completely full of wanteds, which is so annoying. Best one i have seen for a while, wanting to trade 2 sofas for a corner sofa. Cant remember hearing that freecycle has turned into swap shop!
