The whole idea of Freecycle is to stop items going to landfill, so probably has nothing at all to do with not wanting to pay to dispose of them.0 -
I used freecycle for the first time the other day and had such a lovely experience. Having responded to an offered of two garden chairs from a gentleman in our area he not only offered to deliver them but helped us move them in from the car. We were ever so grateful just for his offering them to us, let alone to bring them to our home (neither my partner nor I drive), they've been an absolute blessing in this weather and we couldn't be more pleased.0

No one I knew wanted, or had the space to house, my old american pool table. But right on time a freecycler arrived with a rented van, and took the thing away.
His grandsons get to play pool, it is kept out of a landfill site, and I get my dining room back. Everyone's happy.0 -

ive been given a little flat, and im very desparate for a good condition wardrobes also dressing table, ect.. would be gratefull if you could help. you can email me on
Personally I would still be getting over the shock of being given a flat, wonder if that is going to feature heavily in the wanted ads in the near future0 -
Can just imagine the ad: Wanted - house, preferably detatched but would consider semi, at least 3 bedrooms with large garden and garage. Don't drive so you'll need to help me move.
I've been having a clear out and have offered a large hot water urn (had loads of interest), an old mobile phone (again, lots of interest) and 2 CRT monitors (only 1 reply!).
Some of the emails I got were so pushy - I always say I use fair offer policy so don't expect a reply today but I got loads of the "I want it, can collect today, give me your address" type responses. They all got binned!
My only wanted has been for some egg boxes as we keep ducks and they are all laying so we've completely run out!0 -
I desperately need a double pushchair as my son is coming down on Sat for a week with his 5 children the 2 youngest being 13 wks and just 2yrs.
If anyone can help please contact xxx on xxxxxx or Email.
Thank you for reading this ad.
how does he manage normally?????loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
On ours today:
WANTED: MINI PHOTO STUDIO
I need to photograph some items as pack-shots. Has anyone got one of those small mini photo studio kits? It needs to be fully functional without a need to repair of replace any components, i.e. includes lights, tripod, studio area and coloured backdrops.
So basically new then, I believe you find those in shops....0 -
