    I am surprised they didnt ask for the fuel to burn in it! Or will that be their next ask???

    Popular item - a chimenea is being requested here too! I can't find that s/he freecycled the gas patio heaters though.
    Do you have a cast iron chimenea you no longer want? I've given away two gas
    patio heaters and would now like a chimenea in which I can burn homemade paper logs.

  • Maybe they didn't give them on freecycle though- could have been to family/friends etc I guess?

    Thing is, if they wanted to have a heated patio, why did they give away the patio heaters ???
    I try not to get too stressed out on the forum. I won't argue, i'll just leave a thread if you don't like what I say. :)
  • Argh - Freecycle is seriously starting to p*** me off! We've had someone sporadically posting offers for 'free' driving lessons which have just gone straight through, some one offering their cleaning services and so many ridiculous wanted ads, including;

    'Need a water feeding bottle for a rabbit asap please' - they cost about £1, buy one you cheap bint before your rabbit dies!

    This one's really funny, although a bit of a longshot :D

    I am doing a topic next term with my Y1 class about dinosaurs and wondered if anyone has any hidden in cupboards they would like to donate to a good cause! I can collect any time, especially after bedtime if people don't want their little ones to see the dinosaurs stampeding out of the door!

    The thing that got me most this week was replying to a 'desperately, for our children' wanted post and offering someone a really nice VGC Little Tykes slide, and then being asked what colour it was!? Seriously - they're £65 new, does it matter what colour it is? Ever heard of 'beggers can't be choosers'? Grr

    I started a spate of these on our Freecycle after offering one. The amount of replies I got saying I will take it will collect this evening etc, not a please or thank you in sight was incredible. Even had one delightful soul send me a is this still available message followed by another one a few hours later saying I have already asked if this is available, I want it, let me know. I gave it to a lady who made me laugh with her repsonse which sounded like she was offering to swap her husband for it then realised and stated she wasn't actually offering this. I like a bit of effort in responses and a sense of humour never goes astray!

    Why she just couldnt adjust her setting I dont know. Removed from group now though, stroppy moo.
  • "Long shot but has anyone got an Amazon Kindle eReader they do not use/want. my son would like 1 for his upcoming school trips to read on the journeys Many thanks"
