I have two dwarf hapsters to offer (one of those where daughter will look after them honest but actually wont).

They are in the same cage (and they get on great) but we dont have another cage so if someone wants just a cage for the other hampster here on freecycle - then let me know.

They have all the stuff - water bottles food shavings blah blah.

Firstly, you MAKE your child care for them. Teach her a valuable lesson rather than showing her that pets are a commodity which can be gotten rid of when you get fed up. You should be bloody well ashamed of yourself.

    Secondly, they are HAMSTERS.

    A posting on ours today
This is a long shot but I was wondering if anyone has an old PS3 that they no longer require. This is for a friend who is on a tight budget - thanks.

Is a PS3 now an essential item then? If friend can't afford one, he won't be able to have one, which is what I tell my son who tells me that ALL his friends have a PS3, only he is sooooo neglected.
I try not to get too stressed out on the forum. I won't argue, i'll just leave a thread if you don't like what I say. :)

I do love all this "High end consumer electronics that are no longer required" bit...

I mean, when I look round my lounge and think "This room could do with a tidy up" I don't also think "It would be much better if I got rid of the TV, Xbox and PS3...."

I agree, and this doesn't just apply to high end stuff. There is someone on our freecycle today place 3 wanted posts, for a cooker, a fridge and a freezer. She states for each one "must be working and in good condition" (oh and no "please or thank you" in the post  ).

Well, I don't know about you, but if my fridge or whatever is working and in good condition, I am unlikely to be replacing it. In fact, I could really do with a bigger freezer, but will wait until this one is on it's last legs before I buy another.

I know you get the occasional instance of a couple moving in together for the first time - so might have spare appliances to get rid of (mind you, I'd try selling if it was in good condition) - but where do people think these expensive items in good condition are going to come from ??

My digest email today consits of one offer of 3 old fence panels suitable to be broken up for firewood (presumably someone doesn't want to pay to have them disposed of). The rest is all wanteds, including one guy who wants a double rabbit hutch, a garden shed, a mini moto and a car trailer that can carry a car (?). Well, I paid over £100 for my rabbit hutch, couple of hundred for a shed, couple of hundred for a mini moto- no idea how much a car trailer costs, but it doesn't sound cheap...

There are loads of ads from people wanting rabbit related things atm, quite worrying. I wonder how many rescues are going to be inundated in about 3 months time...

    Oh, just found this beauty

'my son is getting his first flat and needs double bed, sofa, table and
    chairs washing machine'

Let me just run and get that sorted for you...

So, not only is he not taking responsibilty for making sure he can buy the basics he needs, he can't even be bothered to beg for them himself !! :D

How rude! I had a dismantled fence panel that was broken and the man with a wood burning stove was very happy to come and pick it up! I don't have a car do dispose of it myself at the tip. And local council bulky waste collection is £20 for 5 items.

And I also gave away a dismantled garden shed that needed a few small repairs.
