For some reason these things are worth a lot on eBay, especially the original 80's stuff, so I'm not surprised lol. Even the new bits seem to lose almost no value if looked after, as I discovered while trying to get some for my godson. Found a beat up but perfectly usable little cottage at the charity shop for £1.50 the other day thoughso am going to be super-godmother this month!

Hi, I am a student filmmaker. I really need an Apple Mac, or similar apple computer to edit films on. Would appreciate any offers. Thank you
lolz. or course you do!0 -
Somebody on my Freecycle is fighting back! Thanks for all the interest - these have been taken subject to collection.
Please note - I do check my emails regularly, but emailing me three times over two days about an individual item is not necessary and does not make it any more likely that a) i will reply, or b) you will be considered or receive the item.
Thanks for reading,
Fab!

Just because they ask for it doesn't mean they get it - I suspect the success rate for this type of "request" is very low.
I've posted a Wanted once in about 3 years of being on Freecycle... no replies apart from one woman telling me my postings always made her laugh (was asking for a on its last legs baby monitor when we got new dog we had in the kitchen that we couldn't hear from the bedroom on a night... ie something you might not trust with your precious newborn but would be fine for hearing if woofbags was trying to scratch his way out of the door).
We've got people joining our group now from the far side of the next county down asking for caravans :mad:Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0 -

Just in on ours:
WANTED: everything for flat
my son is getting his first flat and needs everything ie: double
bed,sofas,table and chairs ect
If you can afford to enter in to a contract to buy/rent surely you would have budgeted for some basics even if second hand rather than expect the rest of us to furnish them? What happens if nobody offers him anything, does he sleep on the floor and go back round his mum's for food and to get his washing done?0
