    Just posted on ours,

WANTED - Solid pine double wardrobe and dresser and chest of drawers for
teenagers bedroom. No flat pack please as not suitable. Thank you

It would be awful if a teenager had to make do with free flat pack furniture.

  • on mine today

    Good morning,
I know this is a long shot, but if you have a wii gathering dust somewhere I
would love to take it off your hands.

If I later find I'm not using it either I will re- freecycle it.

Will collect from anywhere in the district.

    many thanks
    Kate

Anyone has a car seat 12m+ that they don't need anymore?

:rotfl:I read that as 12 METRES plus. I then thought bloody big mother in law of she needs that. Wouldn't argue with her to be honest!

    Just in on our freecycle:

    Hi,
If anyone has any old or new designer clothes I would be very grateful for them please.

Because naturally new designer clothes that you have just spent a great deal of money on but didn't actually want would need to be saved from landfill. My, how lucky those people with unwanted designer clothes are to have this freecycler on their doorstep.

Every day virtually ours has wants for leather suites.
It always makes me laugh how after something unusual has been offered, there are then loads of wants for the same thing.
I don't know if it's that people didn't think anyone would freecycle it & are hoping that there are other people squirreling same away. Or if they think, right I'll show you, I will get it for free.
Bathroom cladding was offered on ours over the weekend & we've now had a couple of people asking for some.
It's about the time of year people will start wanting conservatories.
  • We've had four for greehouses in the last two days. Fair enough if people are polite, my in laws got rid of theirs just last year so they are about... but if your idea of an advert is 'Wanted a greenhouse, want glass but will consider plastic' my only comment is, how very magnanimous of you, considering an 'inferior' plastic greenhouse costs £200+...

Another joker has just posted on ours:

I'm building a studio at home and am looking for flashes, lights, backdrops etc.
Plus if you have any old dslr cameras or lenses as wow they are expensive.
    Thank you

What is he building a studio for if he can't afford/doesn't appear to have the basic equipment to take a photo with :rotfl:

approx 2pm "offered: electric bike...etc etc"
approx 2.30pm: "taken: electric bike... etc etc"

approx 2.45: "WANTED: electric bike as this would come in useful"

hmmm - coincidence???? wonder why they weren't successful with the offered one with responses like that.

I got quite cross the other day - offered something to someone who couldn't pick it up for the best part of a week - fine, said I'd be in after 6.30 last night if they could come earlier on... get an email at 8pm to say they'll be there for 9.
