When I was about 3 I had to be taken to the doctors to have beads removed from my earholes. I had pushed them in because I wanted "pearlings" (earings) in my ears like my mum.

    Today's haul -

Wanted: cheap to run runaround car for my wife to take kids around in. Must have MOT and Tax preferred. Need a 5 door and must be less than 1.4 engine. I know it's a long shot but a newer car would be better, my wife doesn't like old cars, nothing older than 6 years.

Thats a pity, I have lots of 1.6 engine, 7 year old cars lying around!!!!

    Wanted: Dishwasher????????

Are you sure that's what you want?

Wanted: lego. My son is wanting some lego, mixed bricks preferred, also want lego car parts and lego to build a lego house.

Don't want a lot do you? Maybe her son could build the first poster's wife a car.

I gave a car away on Freecycle once. OH had been promoted to a company one, so I took over running his and the old banger had to go. No one wanted to buy it, I even tried webuyanycar and they only offered me £30 - considering they take £15 admin fee, I would have to drive it to Oxford and get the bus home, I would have made about £10. But it had 6months tax and MOT. This was about 2 years ago and I still get the odd email asking me if it is still available... I had 70 replies within 15 minutes. 68 of them went straight into the deleted mail for rudeness or downright cheek. It went to a lovely lady in the end and I still see her driving it around.

Wouldnt' have suited this gentleman though, as it was a 1.7l and about 10 years old... Shame really... I wonder if he would have turned it down?

We once offered a midi hi-fi system and the chap who collected it turned up on his bike! Somehow he managed to fit all the speakers & components into the various saddle bags etc and even stuffed the remote inside the waistband of his lycra shorts! Put a smile on my face for the rest of the day!!:D

I put a 7' Christmas Tree on my bike. No problem at all.

    ?

Yes I did too. It was a 10 year old Fiesta with some tax and MOT. Very dodgy brakes though and the cost of a garage repair was more than the car was worth. Easy enough job though if you are a reasonably competent DIY mechanic.

I had plenty of replies and it was trailered away- to what fate I know not.

want to do my living room if anyone can please many thanks

Me too, if anyone can help me :j
  • I live in the US and put an offer for a stove. It was in great shape and worked well. One of the replies I got was from a woman who had just moved and desperately needed it. I told her to come on over. 20 minutes later I met the nicest couple who came to pick the item up for their daughter. They were from England and I have to say they were the such a joy to meet. Nice experience for us all and I will be giving more things out to people. Still smiling when I think of how nice they were.

Soooo ... does that mean if the rabbit WAS albino it would have to live in the out house ???

OR do they mean "we have lots of white things in OUR house", and hence are worried they would lose the rabbit among all the other things ????
I try not to get too stressed out on the forum. I won't argue, i'll just leave a thread if you don't like what I say. :)
