  • Someone on ours was offering a 'Brad Maker" earlier. Tempting to message them saying if it could make 'Brad' of the 'Pitt' variety I'd take it!

Now I would love one of those:j

I listed a leather sofa at the weekend and was amazed at how rude some people can be. As well as the "Yes please" and the "I'll have it" one reply said. "Yes I want this my address is xxxxxxxxx can you please deliver between 12 and 2 tomorrow"

    I didn't:rotfl:

Ah, that's mean of you not to deliver, they said please after all! :p

I offered a small cosmetic set which I said I could drop off locally - someone who lives over 10 miles away from me replied expecting me to deliver to them - ehm, not really what I call local!

I'm all for wanted ads but there is asking in excess... in the last 3 weeks one person has requested........

    - single mattress/ futon as moving into an unfurnished rented house
    - vacuum cleaner
    - house phone
    - 2 car seats for their 1 and 3 year olds as just bought a car
    - highchair and booster seat for above children
    - 4 stackable dining chairs or stools as the table didn't come with any
    - basic tools like: hammer, screwdriver, allan key, spanner, etc as a freegler has given them dismantled furniture
    - clothes airer

makes you wonder how they coped in their old house really.

    WANTED: Geiger counter
My son is on his way home from Japan, I would love to borrow or have a geiger counter to check him over when he gets home tonight. He was very probably exposed to some radiation while he was there, and I would like to know if it is significant.

I happen to have 3 just laying around at £800 a shot.......... doesn't everyone???

" in need of a double bed and metteress a.s.a.p for my sons bedroom can collect if close not use to driving far "

But surely, if the person can drive one mile they can drive 10 miles ??? especially to collect a FREE bed ??

Hi all, 3rd attempt of asking for anyone who has a good working gas cooker unwanted. Brother and I haven't had a cooker since beginning of January.

Damn us selfish greedy people for not supplying a gas cooker in good working order the first time she asked!
  • Made me giggle:
Being hopeful I know, but I was wondering if anyone had an unused Food
Dehydrator going spare? I will travel a fair distance on my bicycle for one as I
always seem to have huge amounts of tomatoes And wild mushrooms etc. Thank you
for looking and for your time

    Photogenic
Funny enough I have a food dehydrator, it's called an oven on low with the door open.

I didn't even know there was a thing called a food dehydrator !! One lives and learns, I've googled it and seen several.

I suppose it's the sort of thing a hobby cook might buy, use two or 3 times and then stick in a cupboard forgotten .... to give away at some point when de-cluttering ?

  • My brother used to string mushrooms up in the airing cupboard! They did look funny when you went to get your clothes out :rotfl:
