Correct, I tried to put down a deposit on one yesterday, and was a no go.
Woke up @ 5.45 this morning, so after a couple of coffees' I was down the store @ 6.30am. Mac'ds is opposite, kept me supplied with more free coffee.
Anyways same over here all sold by 9.10am, cus it took us 9 mins to fill out the tv licence form. I'm that tired now lol I havn't even got it out of the box too take a looksie. Our local stores only had 10 each btw.0 -
daughters b/f is not working till 2pm today so dont know how it went didnt want one as we do not watch t. v alot and have a pixel plus phillips thats o.k at the moment but glad some people got them as they are a good deal. Before you point fingers, make sure your hands are clean !;)0

I think the HDMI DVD player was a bargain, so not surprised they went quickly...
The TV is a good price but with issues I had with the 32" Tevion LCD last year, i'd rather pay not alot more cash to get a brand new latest generation Samsung.0 -
with regard to firm orders our local store has always taken them and supplied , done on goodwilll I expect, he must be an old fashioned store that deals with customers direct, we got ours and it looks easy to set up ,yes its large box, states HDREADY and has 3 years warranty, our store had 12 we were number six on his list to collect, cant tell you the store I use as I see he will be in trouble if the above posting is true that he cant take names for supply etc.dont want to drop him in it.
He didnt ask for cash before we picked it up either as I expect he knew he could sell them twice over if necessary.my bark is worse than my bite!!!!!!!!0 -
chardonnay wrote:re the help with getting it in your car - not sure as aldi don't have many staff and they will probably be busy. you'd be best to phone & ask or get a friend to help.
word of warning - you are not supposed to lie them flat as the screens may crack. the box is supposed to be very big and will most likely not fit in the average car - you may need to hire a van
Correct me if I'm wrong but I think you can lie LCD screens down fine, it is Plasma ones you have to be careful with.0 -
Non left at stores in Bury, Bolton(both), Whitefield & Ashton.
Bury still had a couple of those 42 inch plasma's. Is it worth asking the manager if they could do for the same as the LCD as they have had in store for about 2 months ??0 -
I asked the manager at the Redcar store and he hadn,t got a clue as to what will happen next ! The messages given out seem to vary from store to store...I wish Aldi would come out and make a statement as to what they are going to do..remember a couple of years ago there was many complaints about the sale of computers, people who couldn't get to the store on the first day were losing out,so under pressure from one of the computer magazines who regurarly review aldi products , aldi said people could order computers if they missed out on the ones instore.0

For those who didn't get one.... don't despair. Just wait for the returns within the next few weeks and you can probably get them for a reduced price.Do I want it? ......Do I need it? ......What would happen if I don't buy it??????0
