Nice to see everything is going well with you and yours. What have you been selling to get such good prices? I to will list away merrily on Sunday.
    Total debt Feb 2012 = £54354.11 😳
😁Debt Free and you can do it too
  • Thanks ROTE. I had a piece of electrical beauty equipment that was worth a fair bit, then some perfume and also a voucher I won and can't use. Not sure I'll be able to get such good prices with the next lot but there are some items ending tomorrow so fingers crossed!

Unfortunately I messed up on 2 counts, 1) didn't change my email add with Paypal (didn't even think about it) and couldn't get to the money so had to go in and request the money which judging by the charges is a LOT more expensive way of doing things and... 2) Even though I did weigh the stuff - I underestimated 2 of the items and lost out on postage and packing charges but hey you live and learn. Still made some money.

Will also try and list some stuff tomorrow. Let us know how you get on.

Hi just popping in to see how its going and looks like it is going pretty well!! must feel fab to have paid that extra off this month!
Well done with your ebay, I used to do a bit myself but have now ran out of anything to part with :rotfl:!
You do have to watch out with postage though, if in doubt always charge a little more than you think so you have yourself covered, I know myself there is nothing more annoying than posting item and finding it costs more than they paid !
  • Hey OM!

Not doing so well today, the good news is a lot more stuff ended on Ebay which was great but I'm getting hassle off 1 buyer already - long story, I won't bore you with it but why are people so blinkin' RUDE!!!!!

Also think I'm going to have to get the car repaired - I will hear about the cost of that tonight but I'm thinking at least £250!!!

Too mad about the rude ebayer to write much more but maybe I might be back later if I've calmed down :(

    Hope you're all ok.

  • Thanks for that - everyone else seems to have been lovely so far, but you're right there is always one. I remember my sister saying she was having a problem with one too.

Still, the totals are adding up - just waiting til everyone gets their goods before I update my sig. Fingers crossed everything else goes ok.

Hope you are doing well x

  • Made another overpayment this week of £110.51 to get the loan down to a nice even figure for a couple of weeks. It felt really good and OH was with me so I think he's getting more into this now.

Had a fantastic meal with the clubcard vouchers for my birthday, it was lovely as we don't usually splash out on a meal and order 3 courses, but this time we did and didn't feel guilty about it at all! OH did as he was told and didn't get me a pressie which is what I wanted. Got money from family so I'm hoping to buy a few things I could do with, with that money.

Haven't been shopping in a while due to car problems and did falter 1 night and ordered a take-away but it was really yummy and very welcome - that was the night I was really stressed about the nasty Ebayer so had no inclination to cook even if I did have anything in. We've been living from the storecupboard this week other than that so must do a meal plan soon and go shopping. Asked OH what he wanted for WORLD CUP food and he fancies spag bol so will walk down and get stuff for that and do a proper shop when I have wheels.

Did ok on Ebay - totals still TBC but I think the nasty Ebayer has put me off for a while. Might try and sell a few bits in other places as it's stressful Ebaying.

Am already looking forward to the next payday so hopefully can do some more overpayments - I would love to get our total to under £17k by the end of the month. It feels like it's coming down at a steady rate - I just hope we can sustain some sort of even pace once I go on maternity leave.

    How is everyone else doing?

My Saturday will consist of housework, washing and shopping for tonights food.

Haven't got around to doing much housework yet but have counted out £25 worth of change from the whisky bottle, will change up for £1's or £5 notes for the hospital car park ready for when I go in. Hoping it won't be that much but who knows how long labour and recovery will take! Nice to be organised :D

Also did the snowball calculator again, if I manage an average of £675 overpayment on the loan every month we are looking at having that cleared by Sept 2011!! :j I find it useful to have a figure to work towards and a date to look forward to. That way if I fall short one month I may be able to do something to reach the monthly target still. 12 days til payday so hoping I can squeeze in £64.49 to reach my target for the month.

Thank you! Will take a look. I do work for a huge organisation which has an electronic noticeboard, have sold quite a few things on that in the past which is handy but will definitely explore all options.
