I am pretty lucky - it was OH who started reading these forums and go me into reading it - then i joined! He is very MSE!
Really! That is so lucky - that means with both of you being MSE that's a good recipe for success. I don't think I'll ever get my OH as MSE as :money:, I can only hope for a bit of improvement (which to be fair has happened since we've been together). I think it's being in sales that's the problem, most of the people he works for strive for bigger and better things all the time - that's what keeps them motivated.Me, DH and DD (17 months) clearing our debt for a better future. Forgot to say I also found an account with £20 in that I'd forgotten about AND I got my Health in Pregnancy grant through today too! (although that's not going towards the debt) It's been a good day for the goal I think.Me, DH and DD (17 months) clearing our debt for a better future. Hey everyone  Thanks for popping in!
Choc-Addict- Thank you! It felt really great making the overpayment, it's so weird going about things in a completely different way to what you're used to but if I hadn't have found this site I NEVER would have ever considered making overpayments and paying off the loan early. I'm hoping it will be a new way of life forever :j
Hi Mummy2mygirls  - Thank you too, I don't really feel organised but I'm sure I must be more so than before. Hope you're having a good weekend too!
Hi again Olipopsmummy, thanks for popping in, to be honest I wish I'd started a lot sooner than this too but I guess we all find our way at some point and better late than never. I've put my HIP grant away and I plan to do some things with bubs when he/she arrives like baby gym, baby massage, sing and sign - that sort of thing - I felt that it would be good for both of us if we made an effort to get out and meet other mums and babies socially but I might not have much money to do it so I'm kind of setting that aside... so maybe not health in pregnancy as such, but health post-natally! I'm terrified of PND so I want to make sure I get out an about. What about you?
I'm lucky that our relatives are sooo amazingly excited about the baby that they want to help out with baby things (and I've also got a lot of pre-loved things too).
Hope you're all enjoying the long weekend :beer:Me, DH and DD (17 months) clearing our debt for a better future. Hi Roomontheend
Thanks! I know what you mean, we've had a massive Ebay-fest today, I get so addicted to looking at the watchers and bidders though - I'll be logging on everyday for the next week :rotfl:

So today we've spent all day sorting out Ebay stuff at home and now have a total of 36 items on Ebay!! :j
I actually do think OH has made some progress today as he's been photographing his beloved vinyl collection. We've sent a list off to a website who buy vinyl to see if they want any of it, doesn't look like vinyl is going that well on Ebay atm and as it's his lifetime collection he doesn't want to give it away - fair enough. He's also been up in the loft getting stuff down and is up for selling lots of his clothes that no longer fit - I have to say I'm so impressed with him. I decided that our first debt free month we can start saving for something that he would like as he has given up quite a lot over the last few years. He used to have a drum kit and really did play it a lot. He sold it when we moved to this house and bought a Dyson vacuum with the money. I'd love for him to get it back one day (fully paid up front of course) and enjoy it again. I'm hoping that's given him a bit of an incentive to come on board with paying off the debt early. I also feel he's starting to listen more about when we could be DF if we worked hard about it - rather than it going over his head.
Anyway I have also done the first wash of the nappies as it was a good drying day. I really do have quite a big stash now and it was lovely to see them hanging on the lineCan't wait until there is a little soft (poo-y) bum in them :j
Will keep you updated on the Ebay progress.
