Sounds a really good idea to use the money for getting out and about after baby is born. Have you got a sure start near you?? They do lots of things like that and i know the baby massage is a free course - wish i could take DS but i have dd3 to think about so cant
I did it with dd2 though and its really nice. They also have lots of mums and tots etc which are great for meeting new mums.

I think we do have a Sure Start, a friend had told me about their toy library and how the toys are brand new as hardly anyone uses the service - thought that would be very MSE if I had a go at that. I didn't realise they did other things though - thanks - will check it outMe, DH and DD (17 months) clearing our debt for a better future. Sure start centres are really good for groups and activities and stuff. they do a lot for little babies like you mention wanting to do but i never really knew about it until my son was much older! One thing i have always done with him loads since he was little is swimming. He absolutely loves it and is such a water baby now, we have always just took him on our own and now take him to the aquatics in manchester which has a special toddler/baby pool that he loves but it is well worth it, im hoping it wont be long before we start learning to swim! They do classes and baby lessons as well if you like that sort of thing, i have never been cos i cant guarantee getting anywhere on the same day every week!0

Hi Olipopsmummy! Hope you're well. Thanks for that.
Did get a bit down yesterday as I was mentally adding up how much a few of the baby 'courses' I'd seen would cost and they are so expensive! Worried my HIP grant wasn't going to go as far as I had planned. So I started looking into the services at Surestart - does anyone know if these differ from county to county? Ours don't seem to offer anything free- particularly not any of the courses... unless they're hiding it. But I had a good search and couldn't find anything other than the toy library.
I do like swimming so would like to take bubs, I was thinking of the aquatots so I could meet other new mummies but maybe I will opt for the cheaper option and just go freestyleAm just worried I won't meet anyone and will be lonely
I get lonely even if I spend one day on my own - I just need adult company.
Anyway even though the loan payment and the overpayment have been taken out of my account my loan amount still hasn't been updated - grrrr... I would just like to see the new balance in writing - esp so I can update my sig on here. Am thinking of making a payment a week - is there a PAW challenge on here or only PAD??? I think I prefer PAW, it's cuter (and much more obtainable seeing as I have to actually visit my branch to make an overpayment and can only get into town on Saturdays at the moment).
Nothing finished on Ebay yet but lots of watchers on the stuff we put on over the weekend. Hopefully will have more to report in the week.
Cafe Rouge Tesco's vouchers arrived today so we can definitely go out for my birthday next week :j
Was at work by 07:30 as DH had to drop me off first (still no car). But managed to make me and DH lunch today so happy about that, then had dinner at mum's this evening -was nice being looked after :A

I know how you feel with wanting the balances to be updated! I have been checking mine all the time online! Just to see how much you've paid off and the achievement of what the over payments are doing.
Also, I forgot to add that this Sunday os £0 insertion fee on eBay. So I'm going to make sure I get some things up there - even if it is just to raise a few pounds.
Also, again, I noticed you said you're OH is photographing and selling his vinyl. I also have a lot of vinyl, about 500+ I think, and I couldn't even give it away. There was one place interested, but they were robbing me blind over it, so decided to keep them all.

It's so annoying, my overpayment hasn't come off the loan yet - although they've had the money from my account I noticed. Will keep checking and update my sig when I know the new balance.
I saw that email from Ebay about the £0 insertion fee, definitely got to find a few more items to make the most of that. Have 3 items finishing tonight, 2 have bids on. One at £56 last look at one at £10.46 or something - quite excited about that! :j
You're right, we decided not to put the vinyl on Ebay as it just didn't look like anything was shifting. I sent a list to a website but they've not come back yet. I don't want him to give it away either so he'll end up keeping it if it's worth nothing. A while back I bought him 3 x vinyl art wall things where you slip your vinyl into these frame type things and use the covers as art - I quite like them and it's good as you can keep changing covers around.
